This is a great local leisure centre it has all you need. I use the gym and pool 4 nights a week, but there are so many other activities available.
I quite like swimming at new mills but recently I am aware that there are more people doing backstroke and they seem unaware of others trying to swim near them. The pool is for everyone so try to be more thoughtful and share the space...you don't own the pool.

Friendly staff all very helpful, good classes, decent pool. Best Spin class instructor around. Nedd to book early tho to get classes and swims a lot are gone 1st thing
Wonderful staff, willing to help in any situation. Friendly and welcoming. Staff manage to create an environment that is enjoyable, nourishing and life affirming. I feel after coming swimming here for 2 years that the staff are my friends. Able to share the good times and the sensitive times. Exceptional.
I had £3 correct money for a swim today. But told it was cashless. I had to leave. How ridiculous to refuse cash. Especially the correct amount. Discrimination against cash carrying people. Won't be attending with my grandchildren again. Will go to Romily or tamedide where cash is welcome. Nothing mentioned on website of cashless.

Great place for roller skating. Swimming classes are great, the best we've found in Stockport or nearby
NewMills Leisure Centre Gym, what's not to like. Good facilities, always clean. Helpful staff to show you how the array of equipment works. Wide cross section of age groups, all adds up to an enjoyable atmosphere. So turn the heating off at home, come down to the Centre and keep/get fit and you'll be warm doing it!!
Good range of weights equipment excellent classes and a decent swimming pool not to mention fantastic staff
