   I usually like this store, but today 15 November 2025 at 20:13 I had a very unpleasant experience. One of the male staff members working in the aisles had such a strong and overwhelming odour that it was impossible to walk past him. This is especially concerning in a food shop, where hygiene should be a priority. It made the shopping experience extremely uncomfortable. I hope the management can address this discreetly and ensure proper hygiene standards for staff.

   I was recently shopping at Sainsbury’s when I witnessed something that left me very disappointed. A lovely ambulance crew came into the store and politely asked if they could use the toilet. The staff behind the counter were kind and accommodating and said yes, absolutely. However, while the paramedic was using the toilet, a manager came out, waited outside the door, and then raised her voice at the paramedic, telling her she wasn’t allowed to use the facilities because she’s not staff. The paramedic looked so embarrassed it was truly upsetting to see. After she left, I spoke to her and learned she had just come from a demanding emergency call and hadn’t had a chance to stop anywhere. Emergency workers go above and beyond for the public every day, and they deserve a basic level of respect including access to a toilet when they need it. What made this worse is that I’ve seen this manager (tall, short brown hair, wearing her own clothes instead of a uniform) be rude to both staff and customers on other occasions. This kind of behaviour reflects poorly on the store and Sainsbury’s as a whole. The kindness and understanding shown by the staff at the counter was overshadowed by the manager’s unprofessional and discourteous attitude. I hope this is addressed, and that in future, emergency workers — and all people — are treated with more respect.

   Very disappointing night manager last night. I ask for 6pints milk because there is nothing on the display.When I asked the manager he said 'there is a supplier issue' without hesitation. Being a local customer for 14 years I never encounter any problems like this. I got the 6pints milk in the end with the help of the staff.

   Handy but hardly ever have enough stock staff constantly changing and nearly always queue at tills, sometimes only 1 person on tills while others appear from nowhere when server rings bell for assistance, there are some staff members who are excellent though, Aaron David and Mark spring to mind, some of the women tend to chat too much with customers making things even slower, so it's OK but could be better

   The store has good stock selection, it has three self checkout tills so that means you can just go in for a quick buy and get out. I'm local to it and mostly stop there after work to grab some food. There is a lot of parking spots. Never had any issues.
