The staff that are there to help are more interested in messing about on their mobile phones then helping customers. Went to a self service till to pay for my shopping and the guy working on the self service till pushed in front so he could scan something no excuse me or thank you. The self service till was playing up and other customers were waiting for help but the guy was to busy doing something on his mobile and got stroppy when asked for help. This happened several times and had to shout a few times before he took any notice and got stroppy when helping. What's the point of paying him when we are doing his job for him and he is just there to play on his phone.

Lidl on staines used to be our favourite shop to do weekly shopping. It has changed few months ago, when they changed the layout of shelfs. It is more space, but it doesn't make any sense and it makes our shopping last longer and more difficult to find favourite items. The biggest problem are now tills, even with the biggest trolley we need to do self check out, it's ridiculous, all shopping don't fit on the tills, product fall out and couple of times we broke yoghurt, which makes more job for employers as they need to clean it out and again we need to go 1 more time to look for items. All of it makes our shopping last very long time which is huge disappointment. Today we gave it a chance again as we like lidl products but it might have been our last time, as we done again big shopping, when we asked if someone can open the till, we were told, to do self check out. 2 min later till got open for some other costumers with much smaller shopping. It looks like not all costumers are treated same. It's very frustrating. I have seen many similar complaints and it's sad noone treats us, customers serious, as nothing has been done about it.

Absolutely disappointed with Lidl’s customer service! I go out of my way to shop at Lidl because it’s far better than local supermarkets for me, yet I’m disappointed by my experience. I went to do a big food shop, and I was astounded by the fact they were not opening a conveyor belt tills despite how busy the shop was and the sheer amount of staff stood around! They were closing one as I walked over with a huge basket of stuff, and I was shooed away to go to self-checkout. I was then met with rudeness at the self-checkout, despite me being inconvenienced by the whole ordeal. I spent more time at the till and packing my shopping than I did shopping. I was forced to reorganise my bags outside the shop due to the lack of space, which puts me in a vulnerable situation as a young woman. I’m completely astounded and disappointed. The amount of time wasted was ridiculous. It was not efficient and it made me miss my bus, further delaying my day! The customer service really needs to improve, as I already travel far enough for this shop, why should I waste anymore time! This is a reoccurring issue with people I know shopping at Lidl and it needs to be sorted!

Really gone down hill in the past 12 months first with the middle of Lidl shrinking one of the main reasons you visit a Lidl but also now with the store layout being completely changed doesn't seem to flow nearly as well, the middle has been shrunken even further and to add insult to injury you now have to use a receipt to exit the store or be let out by a member of staff. Only upshot is more self service check outs.

Friendly nice staff members always up for a brief chat at the till. Store is clean and tidy with a good variety. Weekly food change is always nice from different countries.

Meh, busy and a mess. Could never do a proper shop in Aldi or Lidl ever, they just do not have the products people want or enough of them. More like a jumble sale/bootsale than a supermarket. Their own 4.5% beers Parlescher? aren't too bad at all and we'll priced

Great range of groceries and the famous centre aisle. Fruit, vegetables and meat particularly good. Prices really competitive compared to the larger supermarket chains. Self scan would be helpful to eliminate double handling.
