Wow. Just wow. Last time shopping there. I have never received such a degrading look and so much attitude from anyone as from the lady at your checkout. Just because the yogurt wouldn’t scan. If I was to treat clients like this at my job I would be out of the door immideatly
Really poor experience at this store - Glennice on the self service tills is not customer friendly at all, makes you feel uncomfortable and is frankly rude.
Today, the gentleman I asked for bread from in your bakery section - tall amd glasess, made me laugh a lot. He communicated so sweetly and made jokes — honestly, he brightened my day. Thank you very much!
Good little M&S with a great selection of items. You can almost always find what you need which makes it a great local convenience shop. They've now put in a lot of self-service machines, which means you rarely have to queue anymore when paying. Because of the volume of fresh/fridge options they stock, this is a great M&S to pop into in the evening for yellow sticker hunting.
This M&S Simply Food use to be my regular, but no more, the food selection and variety is so poor. It is no longer the special M&S Simply Food we need and want in Twickenham. They recently restocked two large fridge sections with hundreds of bottles of chilled wine and beer. One entirely isle is now just chocolates and candy. Staff say there is no space for 'simply food' anymore. It's becoming a basic corner shop, which Twickenham has plenty of. The accountants on high clearly do not understand that booze and sweets are not what make M&S Simply Food special.
My experience at M&S in Twickenham is always disappointing. Firstly, the rude behavior of the staff, who seems uninterested in helping customers locate the items they need. Most of the times I found myself leaving the store without several items from my shopping list as they were out of stock or missing for several days. In addition to the poor customer service, I found the goods in the store to be significantly overpriced (also compared to other M&S stores or ocado as well), making it difficult to justify the expense. What is even more shocking is the store's practice of increasing most of the goods prices by 5 or 10p on a weekly basis, which is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, I am shocked to discover that the 350gr baguette, which is already overpriced at £2, had been increased to £2.40 but has a real weight of just 300/310gr on average (and I am buying it on a daily basis, see picture), making it a total rip-off. Overall, I cannot recommend M&S in Twickenham due to its consistently poor service, overpriced goods, and questionable business practices. I would suggest that anyone looking for a better shopping experience should consider shopping elsewhere.
I went there this morning, did some shopping and wanted to change my bags for life. I was told by staff member at the till that you no longer change them and haven’t done so since Covid is that true ?
The store is too small with no room to move if there is someone, emphasis on one, shopping as it blocks the whole aisle. Staff constantly leaving stuff everywhere which further makes things difficult. Staff are also extremely rude and accuse people of stealing without grounds. Self service machines are small, buggy, and don't function.
Nice shop, good assortment of food, but very small, so not much room to move down the aisles. Lots of customers in here with no manners whatsoever
Pretty straightforward for quick food shopping. Being a very small outlet, the selection is a bit limited but it serves a purpose. At times it can get quite busy, so be prepared to be bumping into staff and customers, and having to queue. But today at lunchtime it was fine
