The guy at the check out didn't tell me my card didn't scan!! Rude personell (bold white guy), another guy with jacket fresh vegs almost throwed to a woman strawberry containers! And always price is 1.65 for milk, but they charge 1.75!!! Lidl is great for food, but manager should be fired. Manager of the store - you ruining great store!
Good market with in-store bakery. Decent choice but the market is smaller than other hight street brand superstores. My only negative about this shop is the self checkout tills. There are 12, but 6 of them are closed most of the time. They only open them when there is a long queue. My customer experience is ruined after a few minutes in a queue looking at empty closed tills.
The store has had a recent refit and fast checkouts were increased. Always lower prices on vegetables and most goods. The range of products has also increased and their "delux" range is excellent. I also like their special week promotions like Italian week, Iberian week and others, where they have extended ranges and specifically new products. There is a lot to like here.
Friendly staff but woeful management, bought two items that were priced incorrectly and later not at all, which was agreed by the manager who then told me I could get a refund and walked off which meant queuing again. Totally the shop’s fault, had zero interest beyond that. Woeful.
Good variety of bakery and dairy products. They also had inflatable paddle boards and a variety of garden equipment. And as usual, overall a good selection of groceries. The only downside is that there was no one to assist, and the cashier was super unfriendly hence one star less. The store itself was fine with ample of free parking space where you can park for up to 90 minutes.
Do not use, electric charger did not work for ages. By the time it started working we counted 1:30h and left. Got fined because total from entering car park to exiting was 1:47, because their charger was not working correctly. Had to pay a fine of 45gbp.
I visited this store few months ago. I used the self check out and a lovely gentleman (staff in his 40´s with excellent manners) help me to use the machine. As I was heavily pregnant I asked him if I could use their small trolley to my car and he answered yes as long as I will bring it back. I was very grateful to him and will visit the store just to thank him again. But on my way out a young cashier shouted at me that the small trolley was not supposed to be taken outside. I tried to reply but she shouted again from her till. The cashier could see that i was pregnant and she didn’t care at all. Finally the gentleman heard her and he came over to tell her that he left me use it to my car and I will bring it back. At that moment I felt so embarrassed as the store was full and everyone was looking at me like I stole something. Store is amazing but that young woman has destroyed the experience. Thank God that gentleman was there.
The car park is good for EV owners, however the high speed charger can only allocate one car at the time which is a bit silly. The actual shop is like any other Lidl, I don’t particularly like the lay out and find it difficult to find what I need, but it’s a personal preference issue I think. For EV charger users, worth mentioning that there’s a time limit so don’t leave your car there over 90 minutes or you can get a fine!
Great. Good spot. Good parking though I got the bus, which was brilliant. Loads of space and lots of variety. Friendly staff too.
My first time here 01.01.2022 - came here quickly to grab a few things. Large clean store. Special buys were abundant - toys, mops, buckets, chopping boards, utensils, tape, etc. Still some Christmas offers about. Very good layout even a toilet at the far end of the store.
