Convenient local store with some very friendly helpful staff who have been there for many years. Unfortunately, the store objectives seem to have changed from serving locals, to grab and dash customers. It has become very expensive with very limited stock lines in small and small quantities, very disappointing Tesco!
Dangerous: the staff poured a bucket of water onto the pavement outside the store at 10:45pm on icy evening, with frost already on cars. This will create a lethal patch of ice. Tesco's should be ashamed. When pointed out to the staff member, they just laughed.
Blocking the St Margarets bus stop in the early hours (shown in the pictures) to their load boxes every single day, leaving rubbish after themselves. I was witnessed today as one of their employee (an Indian lady) was kicking the rubbish away by her feet. The prices are also not relevant to other Tesco stores.
I wonder if there are any standards on when a supermarket should have croissants out on the shelves. Clearly not at Tesco SM. Visited at 8:05 this morning as I wanted to eat something fresh and nothing at all in there. Anytime you walk into Tesco SM you’re surrounded by trolleys and cardboards thrown here and there with a mess that makes me feel like I want to go out and not buy anything. Better do some fasting tonight
Things have really improved in this store. There are different staff. Most are friendly and helpful. Yes its expensive but i guess Its expected for a tesco local. My only feed back would be the reductions are really minimal. 20p off here and there. I really hope that the food isn't thrown away if it doesn't sell. Please distribute it to the many homeless we see sitting outside the store.
We recently moved into this area. This Tesco Express is the WORST shop ever I have been to in London. Staff are unfriendly, unprofessional, unhelpful and unable to speak English. Also prices are very high comparing for the quality. Shame on it. Consider doing your shopping somewhere else, highly not recommend.
Best service ever. Bit expensive compare to other supermarkets that's because they show case lots of other brands rather than Tesco own brand. Paid parking after 10 to 4.30 on the main road. Self service attandant which you won't see in any other Tesco . Quite busy after 5 in the evening due to trains . Staff is helpful and have knowledge of different options. Produce section is always full and lots of reduced items daily.
A boring and rather limited range of items stocked, although you can normally find the basics. The reductions in the corner by the milk can be worth tracking down at the end of the day, but the staff really don't care. I must have been in here over 100 times, yet most of the time they don't even make eye contact, let alone smile or make conversation. Most of the time you must use the self-service machines. It's a bleak experience.
