I will never go to this Sainsbury’s again. The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful — it felt like they didn’t even want to sell anything. Customer service was awful and disrespectful. Definitely not the kind of service you’d expect. I do not recommend this location.

I went to that place today and felt very inconfortável with the security man looking at me all the time and also when he came to the door when I went to the vegetable shelves. On top of that the cashier without say a word came to make sure I paid toching the screen. POOR COSTUMER SERVICE

I honestly wish I didn't have to speak negatively about my local Sainsbury's in which i have been going to for years. However, it's time to speak up as it is increasingly getting worse... The only reason I haven't said anything up until now, is due to one of the security guards... he's seriously the best thing about this particular Sainsbury's, he always greets me as I enter, always asks if i require assistance if i look puzzled in trying to locate something, what a guy! (The bigger man, NOT the taller security guard) Anyway, as to why i'm leaving this review, it primarily comes down to customer service, for some reason, these guys feel that because they have self-checkout machines, it means they can leave that whole til area unmanned, which is a joke! I needed assistance as the til wouldnt allow me to proceed, but noone was around, i waited and waited until i decided to just leave the groceries there and walk out... This isn't the staffs fault, its incompetent management... There are nice Asian gentleman in there that always serve with a smile, however the management/supervisors always look depressed... Once, the manager had the audacity to tell me to wait for assistance even though i was waiting for a good 5 minutes already, and he was just stacking shelves... I understand this is a long winded review, but this needs to be said... Sainsburys, please hire managers/supervisors that actually care about customer service, rather than just hitting regional targets set forth by area managers...

However, what stood out the most during my visit was the exceptional customer service provided by Kevin. Upon having difficulty finding a specific item, Kevin was more than willing to assist. Not only did he guide me directly to the product, but he also took the time to provide recommendations based on my preferences. His knowledge of the store’s products was remarkable, and his friendly, approachable manner made a significant difference in my shopping experience.

I have lived around this area for about 7 years , customer service has always been great. There are very kind people who care to say Good morning or hello etc. the usual customer service that there should be in any shop .However today morning I came in and was waiting to be served for about 15 minutes ?The worker or Manager (not sure of their position) aggressively told me that I can’t be served and started pointing fingers at me that the till is closed when it’s 10am?.All I’m saying is that I don’t think a colleague (or whatever position this man has in the store)should be talking to a customer like that , doesn't hurt to say this in a kindly way.I also suggested that I don’t mind waiting (as he was busy with whatever he was doing leading into nobody serving me) and all he did was give me dirty looks?. Other than that the store is really brilliant with customer service , I shop there almost every week and I’m extremely satisfied:)

Me and my partner went to get snacks at 10 pm this evening, an hour before the store closes! When we entered the manager had already started mopping the floors, when we were trying to get items of the shelf he told us to step back on to the dry floor because he had just mopped the floor there. He was very frustrated and rude when we needed to grab certain things and this led to my partner felling uncomfortable and anxious due to his passive aggressive tone and the fact we were made to feel like we shouldn’t have been there or had done something wrong. Once we finished paying and walked to the car park he ran out to our car and accused us of stealing chocolates. Absolute terrible !

The place is poorly run by an inexperienced and aggressive manager. They refuse to man the self service and let the 1 person on the tills do it all, whilst the manager wonders round avoiding real work. I took me 10 mins to pay for 1 item. They refuse to put bags on the self service because of locals not paying 10p for the bag, so the managers idea is to make people queue for bags and then for checkout?? How does this make people scan the bags still?? I asked the manager about this, and he got very aggressive to me.

Just as the Chief Executive of Sainsbury’s announces that they will turn away customers that don’t wear a face mask and they’re reducing the amount of people allowed in to stores due to Covid... I walk in to Sainsbury’s in Tolworth’s King Charles Road and there’s two customers without a mask in a quite small store, no member of staff approached them to tell them to wear a mask, and there’s no one controlling the doors either. What a load of rubbish.

Friend being racially abused at 10 o'clock this morning, simply because he questioned the result of a lottery ticket politely. Being from eastern Europe (who holds a British passport & about to have his third British child), she aggressively asked if he could read english & told to shut up. Not wanting to start an argument with a woman he left it. Having a family with a woman from outside the EU it concerns me how they will be treated. Guess this is the future to come, after Brexit!

Went in first thing in the morning around 7am, tried to buy a monster and pain au chocolate for breakfast. Something was wrong with the self service til, the shop assistant came round to help when another woman asked if they were broken she replied "no I've just had two idiots mess them up" apparently the customer previous to me had had the same problem and this woman decided it was our fault. Won't be going back obviously.
