I was very disappointed at how I was treated this evening by a man at the counter (who claimed to be a manager) This store has no knowledge of consumer rights and the stores duty to ensure that the goods they sell, are of good quality. I bought a chocolate bar from the store this evening, one that I get almost everyday and noticed that the taste was very different, almost a muted sour taste (unusual for a Kit Kat bar), I then turned over to look at the date of expiry and it turns out that the chocolate is to go off in 2 weeks time. I went back to the store with 2 thirds of a chocolate bar left and explained the issue to the 'manager' hoping I could get a replacement.. The store refused to replace the item ( a 75p chocolate bar) and are happy to sell off tasting chocolate until the very last day it expires on the shop floor even though a consumer has complained to them that the chocolate bar already tastes off. The store made all types of ridiculous excuses about why the taste was off even mentioning that the chocolate has different flavours, clearly having no idea what they were talking about as the flavour I got was the original plain old Kit Kat bar. It's the last time I will visit the store just based on that principle alone. They clearly have no duty of care to consumers on the quality of their goods and I could not trust them to sell me anything else. Consumers please be warned!
