Azam at security creates a great sense of community. He is always smiling, friendly, super helpful and it really has the feeling of a store that belongs to the local community.

An Exemplary Standard of Service – Commendation for Mr. Azam, Security Officer at Tesco, Sheen Lane (SW14) It is with sincere admiration and utmost respect that I write to formally commend Mr. Azam, the security officer stationed at Tesco on Sheen Lane, SW14. In an age where exemplary customer service is increasingly rare, Mr. Azam stands as a beacon of professionalism, warmth, and unwavering dedication. Every occasion upon which I have entered the premises, I have been consistently greeted by Mr. Azam’s gracious and welcoming smile—an immediate reassurance to all who cross the threshold, regardless of age or background. His demeanor exudes both dignity and humility, setting a tone of comfort and trust for the entire store. Despite the frequently bustling nature of this particular branch, Mr. Azam remains resolutely attentive and engaged. He not only fulfils his official duties with diligence but goes far beyond the conventional expectations of his role. Whether assisting elderly customers with heavy bags, guiding lost patrons to specific aisles, or offering a kind word to young families, Mr. Azam demonstrates a rare commitment to public service that is both heartening and inspiring. His presence at Tesco is not merely that of a security officer, but that of an ambassador of goodwill—his interactions marked by courtesy, empathy, and a genuine desire to enhance the experience of every individual who walks through the doors. It would not be an overstatement to say that he embodies the very spirit of community engagement and customer care. I would strongly urge Tesco, and indeed retailers at large, to recognise and celebrate Mr. Azam’s outstanding contributions. He is a paragon of front-line excellence, and a powerful reminder that the smallest gestures, when offered with sincerity, can leave the most enduring impressions. Individuals such as Mr. Azam not only elevate the reputation of the organisation they represent but restore faith in the value of human connection within commercial spaces. He is truly deserving of formal recognition—if not a commendation or award, then certainly of high praise from all levels of management. London would be immeasurably better served with more individuals like Mr. Azam at its civic and commercial heart. Well done, Mr. Azam. Please continue your outstanding service—you are making a remarkable difference.

We've lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and this store used to be badly stocked in terms of the choices available, but has recently improved considerably. The staff are also very helpful and you are always welcomed with a smile by Azam, the regular security guard!

I was in there today with my 8 months old baby shopping as usual I'm always in there i was pushing my buggy with one hand holding a basket in the other I had my shopping bag hanging on my buggy as usual my basket to heavy so put 2 items in the bag was obviously going to take it out at the till and pay for it like I always do as a member of staff didn't even give me the chance to place my basket down I was putting my hand in my shopping bag to retrieve the 2 items the female employee then stands extremely close to me starts looking in all my bags and under my buggy without saying anything I find that disgusting I am a regular shopper in this store I won't be anymore I feel stereotyped because I am a young mum I was reduced to tears with embarrassment as their was other customers next to me there was no need for the her behaviour I was not even given a chance to place my shopping down she had no reason to humiliate me like this its the same female staff member who followed me around after I purchased a coffee from the Costa machine and wouldn't leave me alone until I actually held my receipt up to her face awful customer service very degrading

Really poor customer service and rude staff. When I tried to replace TESCO "bag for life" bags, the staff said "we don't do it here". I then asked "where do you do it?" I just cannot understand it's TESCO policy and I was trying to help the environment. What's wrong with this staff? Did he get training from TESCO before take the job? Will he get pay cut if he replace the bag?
