They installed a cage around the tills. It looks horrible! It looks like a prison! As long as the cage stays, so will this one star review. We're in Putney not some slum.
I really really miss the previous management, the previous staff who were always smiling and waving to me all the time, making me feel at home. The shop was always tidy and stocked. Now it's a dead place. Employees are constantly grumpy, at the phone or missed. The shop is not welcoming, items are super expensive, increasing all the time, and you're lucky if you find what you're looking for. Also the new self payment stations are awful if you pay cash.
The female manager told me twice the product I was looking for had sold out. For some reason, I quite didn’t believe her. So, I’ve asked the staff called Bharat, who went to the back to double check, gladly he brought me what I was looking for! If it wasn’t for him, I’d have gone there in vain! Thank you Bharat! Every blessing! X
The staff are rude and have no sense of customer service. Often talk really loudly amongst themselves and also in foreign languages whilst serving you as if you are not even there. The attendant kept stacking the shelves for 20secs after I asked for approval for an item. Also expensive. Shall be going elsewhere
I feel badly for staff whom work here and are good. Far too frequently are there problems with customer service at this store. Avoid. I would recommend going to the larger Sainsbury's further up the Upper Richmond Road. I have since boycotted this store.
Watch out for the "store manager". He lied when we tried to return gone off produce and was told it could not be refunded or exchanged despite being within date and presenting the receipt. According to the "store manager" today at 19:30, customers only have 10 minutes to return produce if it is defected! We thankfully rang customer service whom confirmed that is not the case and has provided a refund. He also NOT the store manager. It is in fact a FEMALE called Jess. Summary of the story, do not trust some of the stuff here.
Manager has dodged me. I have asked to change a smashed product and he tried solve it tricky ways. First he said he will check when the product purchased and checked barcode. But went to another customer, after that said he has other things to do. Also said through to a bin. Also he said I am not in right mood. People want normal product and normal service. Please don’t solve this small issue in dodgy ways. Just say, it is not our responsibility. Everyone will understand. Barcode, busy and not right mood… funny! I hope you have other brilliant people!
Small convenience store. Place was far more use as the pub it was before, (The Northumberland Arms.) Rarely busy, limited offerings on stock, on a plus side there's a nice helpful team of staff.
