   Came in to buy some snacks after work using my One4all gift card. At the till this did not work was saying to top it up even though there was still balance on it. When I tried to say this to the guy at the counter he in turn decided to shout back at me that I’m lying, colleague next to him said I just took it off the shop floor. Will not be coming back customer service is tragic

   I have been using this Tesco for a number of years now. Although there are some wonderful very helpful member of staffs, there is one rotten racist member of staff. I was accused of not paying £2.60 for items I have bought, I managed to let that person print out my receipt to proof I have paid. Even after I provided the receipt no apology no sorry was said to me and this led me to confrontation with the member of staff. I reported the situation to the supervisor at the time but nothing happened. As a black person I felt terrible to be accused of not paying for the items I have already paid. My advice to my Afro Caribbean people is to watch out for this member of staff.

   Never had an issue with this shop, but today was ridiculous. If you want me to use the self-checkout, then you gonna have to believe anything I decide to choose on the machine. I chose the wrong krispy kreme doughnut, which is 2.99, and then I added the correct one, 2.59 and I asked the staff to remove the wrong one, showing her what doughnut inside the paper bag. Instead, she removed both, then tried to waste time by checking if there is other options. I didnt have time for this, and I am obviously not a theif. Hell, even thieves get more respect and get to go outside the store with unpaid stuff without anyone bothering them. She defensively got all “excuse me?” And I just said I am in a hurry. She goes on, “this is my job I need to check.” Check in what? If you dont even know what you are selling, what is their names, how much they are, and forcing everyone to use self checkout, then excuse me, move away and let me do my job then without all the gymnastics. All she had to do is remove the item I asked her to remove. Point is, I am doing the scanning, I am doing the correction, i am basically doing the job, so tell your staff to mind their business and just do what they are asked to do, nothing more nothing less and without extra gymnastics over the customers who are actually paying on the shop floor.

   Best Tesco is genuinely awesome, very tidy, wonderful and helpful staff and always very well organised and has a wife variety of products available! Loads of self checkout counters so your never waiting around to long!

   Prices are higher than usual, and most of the self-checkout tills are closed, creating long, unnecessary queues. Just now, a lady in the queue politely asked a staff member if more tills could be opened. The staff member responded in a very rude manner with a firm "No!". Always a leak in the ceiling, store doesn’t seem to be repairing it. Will definitely try to avoid coming back here.

   AWFUL!! All the time the mist of the self check out tills DO NOT WORK!!! They say people are nit paying, well. I always pay! Just take the self che k out tills away if you don’t trust people so may be you’ll be able to have more space for normal che Louis with people!!!

   The self service checkout queues can get rather long, but otherwise fine. The store is clean, well-stocked even at the end of the day, and the sta staff are helpful.

   Unbelievably rude staff who snap at customers who politely ask why, when there are huge queues, one of the 10 or so self service checkouts can’t be opened. Much rather walk to Sainsbury’s in Kings Mall where the staff are friendly and the choice much wider

   Not very roomy in there. Aisles are pretty narrow too. Staff are always stocking shelves non stop. Most check-out points are always out of use. Friendly atmosphere tho.

   I would avoid this store like the plague. Prices have skyrocketed since the store was re-branded from Tesco Metro to Tesco Express. Even shopping online is cheaper! They were clearly hoping no-one would notice the change in signage and also hoping that the price rises would be blamed on the current driver shortages, etc, What people tend to forget is there is a normal Tesco just a five minute walk in Brook Green which is bigger with much lower prices. But I would actually recommend defecting to the Sainsbury’s in Kings Mall, as it is more centrally located with a more pleasant shopping experience. It is actually cheaper than a Tesco Express as it is a normal Sainsbury’s and not a Sainsbury’s Local.
