A particular staff member here ( counter assistant: older lady with long hair) unacceptably rude, her attitude is disgraceful and she makes mistakes!! If you don't want to work there, then dont bother.
I'd give it a 0 if I could. More NHS red tape, struggling to breathe called 111 for emergency inhaler which 111 said I needed within a few hours called them and they're more concencerned that I have an upcoming review and passed the book, they can't even be bothered to process an emergency medication for someone clearly struggling to breathe, just more uncaring NHS jobsworths. Avoid.
Terrible service! I called to pick up my daughters antibiotics on Friday afternoon. No options were given as to a flavour, but I was asked 4 times if she had a penicillin allergy! Got medicine home, white, wallpaper paste type liquid with no flavour. Safe to say, my 5 year old won't take that, but I persevered. Tricking her by putting it into a drink worked once! I rang the pharmacy to see if there was anything they could do (Saturday morning). No, you'll have to speak to a doctor on Monday. I questioned the fact that they expected me to leave my 5 year old with a raging ear infection and a perforated ear drum until Monday but they said there was nothing they could do. A few hours later, I decided to see which chemists are still open on a saturday afternoon, Tesco pharmacy at Askham bar. Now this place gives you a service. The pharmacist rang 111 for me, explained the situation, and gave my details for 111 to contact me. Situation solved by 6 pm with orange flavour antibiotics for the 5 year old. The pharmacist at tesco had explained to me that I should have been offered flavours at calcaria pharmacy, as she is a child, and if there were no flavours available, I should have been given the option to go elsewhere. He also said that had I collected the original prescription from them, they would have swapped to ensure the child got what was prescribed using her original prescription and at the loss to their pharmacy. In short, calcaria pharmacy chose money over the wellbeing of a 5 year old child! Thanks. I won't be back!
Amazing how such a tiny pharmacy can deal professionally, politely and remain calm when serving a growing town and surrounding areas. Outstanding attention to customer satisfaction, open and honest, a pleasure to visit this wonderful team on a regular basis.

Went in today. Social distancing needs some work. A line of chairs to keep you away from the counter. I put my money down, (sorry, no debit card) on the counter. The assistant actually passed me my change and the pharmacist handed me my prescription Take a look at how they are doing things across the road and pick up some tips please.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Spoke to the pharmacist and another member of staff on the phone on 21/6/2018 and they were very professional. Very happy with the service.
