The red haired man who served me was incredibly rude and superior from the outset for no apparent reason. Pointedly making me wait, moving slowly and made me repeat my name over and over again. Then stood chatting to colleagues, leaving me waiting patiently. Finally when the painful experience was nearly over he insisted that I hand back my medication to him so could he open my prescription bag to ‘check it’. I have never experienced this before and this is not a standard practice. He simply did this to try and assert power. Disgraceful attitude and an awful way to treat patients. The experience was so upsetting that I have moved pharmacy as a result.

No stars at all would be too much. I came with my 4 years old on a Saturday afternoon with vomiting issues and powerful headaches and other. This so called pharmacist refused to consult him although he could see that he was barely standing on his feet. Few hours later we had to go to A&E. The doctor prescribed him antibiotics. One week later I had about the same symptoms. Came on a Sunday and the same so called pharmacist refused to consult me. Instead he has given me some syrup. The review is for that pharmacist in particular not for the rest of the crew who are very kind always

Very easy to book an appointment online. I was seen promptly and the staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. It was a Saturday morning and they were clearly busy but still managed an excellent service.

Another instance of standing patiently for several minutes being ignored by the three people working. After a good while I asked if I needed to press a bell or take a ticket. Told someone would be serving soon, Waited a bit longer then gave up.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I waited at the front of the queue for 15 minutes last night. The lady at the back didn't even acknowledge my existence but had time to answer a phone call. After she hung up, I asked if anyone else was available to serve and she barked back a no before continuing doing what she was doing. Finally, she came over. I asked for some painkillers and after asking all the usual questions she said she would refuse to serve me. I asked why and she said she recognises me as having bought the medication before. This is true, but it's far from frequent. I truly believe that she was on some bitter power trip after hearing the other customer in the queue muttering about the poor service. I complained to the duty manager of the store, and she handled it brilliantly. While the manager was dealing with the situation, another customer who was in the line at the time came to me saying that the pharmacist called me abusive - he wanted to let me know because he also thought that I had been treated terribly by the pharmacist as well. When the manager returned, she was furious herself at the attitude of the pharmacist and how long she had made her wait. Apparently, during their conversation, the pharmacist also accused me of being an addict. I found this a particularly offensive comment. The manager has quite rightly filed a grievance against the pharmacist and raised the issue to the area manager. I can't say that I've ever had a memorably positive experience with this pharmacy, but this particular encounter was beyond the pale. Absolutely shameful service.

Service would be good if somebody answered calls to the chemist when times are not busy, I had given a 4 star rating now only a 2 as they are rude, never answer the phone so you never know what stock is available, this is poor practice, worse chemist in York to date. Sorry Tesco you need to sort the Pharmacy out for patients with paper prescriptions, who are trying to call in for need of medications.

They wanted me to pay for my drug and explain exactly how much it would cost me and that they would not just accept that the hospital had payed for it even when I had told them about my situation

Don't find them particularly helpful - have visited several times in recent weeks for different things and have left being no better off. The staff cannot recommend things for basic ailments (and they wonder why people go to our overstretched A&E!) A couple of weeks ago was stood at the front of a queue of a number of people and there were 2 staff members on. One was on the phone (fair enough) the other just ignored the queue of customers for almost 10 minutes! I feel the pharmacy doesn't align with general Tesco values. My most recent experience as a pregnant woman was trying and failing to get a flu jab there despite it being advertised as a walk-in service online. I would advise going elsewhere - supposed to be a convenience as it's within the supermarket but it would be quicker to take 2 separate trips and go to another pharmacy.
