Poor service Quality, very rude attitude towards customers.cashier is Throwing goods on counter, the man has a very disgusting attitude. I wouldn't recommend at all. I would say very racist as well. Not worth supporting the business
I like it as a shop though! I've been going there every day for 5 years... when I approach the meat there's a bad atmosphere today their behavior was awful... I asked them and they turned me down... when I said sorry to serve me they said we were busy while there was no one else... When I told him, "Please, I'm in a hurry," he told me that when I go to the store again to get meat, they won't serve me. I won't go there again to buy anything!!!
East Barnet's oldest continental supermarket. A riot of foods under on roof. Olives, flatbreads, fruit and veg, meat and oil. One of the reasons I bought a gas barbecue (at which they'd sneer!). Try the kofta mince.
I had a very disappointing experience at this shop. The staff were extremely rude when I pointed out that they were selling outdated and damaged goods, which were still on the shelves. Instead of addressing the issue, they became frustrated and dismissive, showing no sense of customer service. Looking at other reviews, it’s clear that this is not an isolated incident—many customers have reported similar problems. The quality of the meat sold here is poor, and there are serious concerns about hygiene. It’s unacceptable for a food retailer to be this careless about product quality and customer well-being. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had at this shop, despite being a regular customer who shops here every 2-3 days. I wanted to purchase two boxes of Donya Iranian dates that were displayed, but the cashier rudely told me, “Madam, don’t touch those boxes, just get the ones on the top.” When I pointed out that the ones on top were clearly a different brand and not what I wanted, he outright refused to sell me the dates I asked for, claiming they were “the same,” which was simply not true. The way I was treated was unacceptable – the cashier’s tone was dismissive and rude, and instead of accommodating a simple and reasonable request, he doubled down on being unhelpful. I even have a video of this interaction to prove how poorly I was treated. For a shop I’ve supported regularly, this kind of customer service is shocking and disappointing. I hope management addresses this behavior, as this experience has seriously made me reconsider shopping here again.

Today We bought watermelon is disgusting is defrosted and also its no first time ,expensive and always they due mistake with the ticket.
Very good selection of produce with nice staff. The only complaints I have are that the aisles are very narrow and difficult to navigate, and that the male staff smoke outside the shop, making it a very unpleasant experience.
I love that Selina's is almost on my doorstep now. Will go there (or Fios's in Cockfosters depending on where I am and in need of food) for their vine tomatoes, green vegetables especially their corriander, avocados and often some fruit. Always get water melon from there when it's in season. Their dry foods section is also great too. So happy to have a shop like this in EB village
