I have been going to this store for 19 years. The staffs behaving has changed for the worst! I have recently been there to do my usual shop using self scanning app. Random check was issued which is absolutely fine I called a member of staff (Filipino woman) when she walked over to me she called out to the manager to remain and the security guard! Unfortunately two (cheap) items didn’t register due to the terrible internet connection in that store! The glee on the woman’s face almost pushed me over the edge. She when straight to manager with an expression that she just caught a thief in action. This was the last straw for me I won’t be going back to this store again! The management in this store is constantly changing with no positive change in sight! Many staff members have been in the store for years and I feel they have become very comfortable in the way they speak to customers which is very rude!

Terrible experience. Staff spend more time chatting than helping customers. Ordered an argos click and collect which has missing items. Was told by customer services over the phone to go back to the store as they have my items only to be told nothing was there. Complete waste of time. Staff member Farhaan was extremely dismissive, unhelpful and just gave computer says no answers. Walked off mid sentence to continue his conversation with his colleague at the customer service desk. Staff training is definitely needed at this store.

A lot of times when I order 2 counts of items from deliveroo I am only delivered 1 count. The last few days it has taken over an hour to pack a small order of 5 items and the riders keep cancelling because it is taking too long so then the order gets cancelled. Not sure why they accept deliveroo orders if they aren't intending to fulfill them so the customer is waiting basically 2 hours for order to end up cancelled and then not being able to order from anywhere else because it is too late. I ordered 3 hoirs before closing the other day. My order was cancelled right before 10:00. Seems like the staff don't seem bothered or aren't trained properly. Either way the customer service is not good bases on others reviews which is unfortunate So came to update this absolutely furious. Bought cat litter and toilet roll on deliveroo. Made the option that if they dont have cat litter cancel order. When my order arrices its just the toilet roll!!! IM NEVER BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN. STEALING FROM PEOPLE IN THIS COST OF LIVING. most time deliveroo does give the money back. There are people with disabilities who can not go into the store itself and the store cannot care less if they give you what you paid for. Its sad in a world where people are just trying to get by and sainsburys is the one stealing their money. If i could give -5 stars i would. The person packing the orders is useless and managers need to look into it because this is too often. I waited 2 hours for an order that should have been cancelled. Im going waitrose next time.

Tuesday 26th Aug ‘2025: First time doing click and collect here. The first member of staff (female) was very unhelpful! Then I got the attention of another member of staff and he was very helpful and got my item. So thank you to him and his customer service.

Baffles me that this place still has such a high average rating. I still value Sainsbury’s on the whole for its still fairly decent range of high-quality and well-presented products (though never comparable to Waitrose) but in terms of both customer experience and availability of stock (a factor that until last Sunday morning saved me from giving this branch a poor rating), this is undoubtedly the worst branch I’ve experienced. Even humbler, less “upmarket” supermarkets like Morrisons and Nisa in less classy areas have satisfied more, at least relative to expectations. What’s wrong with it? In no particular order: (a) It seems an increasing tendency to run out of products that one should take for granted at a branch of this size and I’ve previously relied on them to stock, to the extent of having to try the local down the road and finding that they are actually available there in a number of instances. In recent months, no lamb neck fillets, no diced lamb for God knows how long, no passion fruit and first thing last Sunday morning, no strawberries, asparagus or medium-sized vine tomatoes. (b) Machines frequently playing up, out of order (has there ever been a full set of functioning self-service check-outs?) or not working. On one occasion, ALL three of the weighing machines were not working and none of the staff I pointed this out to (including the woman at the 5 items or less) seemed to care, was at all apologetic or was reassuring in getting them fixed. On a number of occasions the screen will freeze after the machine has appeared to do a double scan or for no apparent reason (with often the message “looks like the last item didn’t scan properly”), leaving the generally not-so-prompt-or-agreeable staff to deal with it, or me to quit the check-out in disgust and start again with another one if any are free. Only this afternoon (not for the first time) my payment failed after I swiped my card, causing a member of staff to summon me back to the check-out just as I was leaving the store. (c) Inconsistent and illogical pricing system for loose fruit and veg - you really have to check whether it’s priced by unit, weight or an already existing barcode. I wasted several minutes on Saturday being unable to pay for a swede before someone gave me a barcode sticker after one had fallen off (not exactly the best item for putting stickers on you’d think!). (d) Lacklustre customer service which suggest a much less rigorous recruiting process than that at Waitrose, where on the whole the staff are much more personable, articulate and helpful - seems to be mostly middle-aged immigrants with limited English and little passion and ability to engage with customers and truly understand their problems. Service more often than not ranges from apathetic through patronising to surly. (e) Last, but certainly not least - the noise. Of course in a big and busy supermarket with lots of people, there is inevitably going to be some noise, but the much more tranquil and inviting nature of the Waitrose at Brent Cross shows it needn’t be at this level. Annoying music and ads on occasion, and worst of all, this highly irritating jangling device (sometimes more than one at a time) that has plagued almost every single one of my visits in the last couple or so years. I understand it’s used to process orders, but is it really necessary for the staff to have it ringing all the time? (And contrary to what one staff member told me, I discovered recently it CAN be turned down if not muted.) No other supermarket, or branch of Sainsbury’s for that matter, has these things going off to anywhere near that level of frequency. If I don’t get any kind of meaningful feedback, I will be strongly inclined to repeat all these complaints in a letter to the manager (complaining about the ringing device online a couple of years ago didn’t work at all when I got a condescending and totally non-committal “reply” from some central office zombie). EDIT: Oh, how could I forget: (f) no bags for any loose items, yet the much smaller Kentish Town branch provides them amply…

This is a decent sized well stocked supermarket with a large range. The free car park is very convenient. Only complaint is that there isn't always a cashier available for a large shop when using the self-service check outs are not convenient.

I would like to compliment Kajal one of the employees at Sainsbury's Golders Green Finchley Road. Kajal is always so helpful, friendly and professional. I have noticed that she is always working and energetic. Always available to assist when asked. Nothing is too much for her. She is an asset to Sainsbury's!

The amount of random things you can get there is positively surprising, from birthday candles and cake to thread spools. They also have a small home décor section including cups, plates, cutlery and blankets. It opens at noon on Sunday, but there is a small Sainsbury on the other side of the intersection which opens earlier. They have selection of Polish products including kabanosy, pierogi, Danio, soups and Polish sweets.

I went to sainsbury Saturday at 12 noon with the wheelchair disabled gentleman in a wheelchair. I asked if they could open the till, so that we could be served by a person on the till. The manager said we will have to wait 30 min for someone to open that till. He then said we could use self service, throwing his hands in the air saying if we don't use the self service; then there is nothing he could do! So other members of staff standing around, he said the till wasn't their area! The sainsbury at the O2 are more accommodating, I left shopping in on the till and went to Tesco had great time with great staff and facilities. I will be filing an official complaint.
