Peel Park was the first public park in the United Kingdom to be officially opened, with all funds raised from public subscription. It was created in 1846 and was free to use, connecting together all Salford residents .

A well restored Victorian park with traditional flower beds, original dedicated statue, wild areas, open and manicured open fields and a few modern touches. I was pleased to see that the park retained it's original dedication.

A serene and peaceful park, perfect for a morning walk, especially with the river running alongside. The park is spacious, offering plenty of room to explore, and the presence of seagulls, ducks, and pigeons adds to the tranquil atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a quiet moment in nature or simply a refreshing walk, this park provides an ideal setting. I liked it the most when I was snapping pictures of these birds and they were posing like models.

Very beautiful park located opposite to Salford Museum and Art Gallery. There are plenty to tracks to walk, old trees, playground, bridge with view for the river. I seen Canadian gees there. Great place for walk alone or with dog, meeting and chatting with friends.

Really big space to hang around... You can plan a very good picnic with family and friends... A very good kids area with lot of swings and activities.... Kids with me really enjoyed the place... And relaxing green area on canal side for adults You can see ducks and swans on the canal to add to your mood.... Lot of colorful flowers adding to the beauty of the park and giving you good backgrounds for pictures....

Nice little park in the heart of Manchester City. Quite crowded on a sunny day as it’s close to University. Perfect place to walk or chill near the lake or in garden. You’ll see people reading, playing, even doing barbecue . There’s a little playground for kids as well. Beautiful flower beds. Definitely recommend to anyone nearby!

Really great place to walk or jog. Also beside the river, so it's good to bring some seeds for the birds.
