Great store. We live in the area, and have shopped here regularly since it opened. Faultless shopping experience with the app; which avoids the queues and immaterial labour of self-scan checkouts. They have now bowed to generational-pressure and added some self-checkouts this week anyway - which is ok, but a shame somehow. All the β€˜issues’ brought up elsewhere were easily neutralised by simply using the app. We have never had any problems with it whatsoever - so it seems we should both be recruited to MI6’s cyber-division. The prices here are also like those in any other Aldi (cheap), rather than the β€˜convenience store prices’ one gets at the other small supermarkets nearby. The staff have always been great also. It would be great if they’d get the store wifi working, though, as it’s down 99.5% of the time; which is ridiculous considering the sophistication of the tech needed to run the store in general.

I was very excited to see a UK Aldi as I'm an Aldi shopper in the states! Beautiful little shop, loved seeing the differences and similarities. I bought some UK Aldi bags, I'm going to be the envy of all the Aisle of shame fam back home! CAW CAW!

Aldi Greenwich Review: Caution Advised I had a frustrating experience at Aldi Greenwich that I feel compelled to share. On a Saturday evening, I attempted to make a payment, and although the card machine indicated a successful transaction, the system malfunctioned, preventing a receipt from being issued. The store assistant assured me that the payment likely didn’t go through, so I ended up paying again. To my dismay, I later discovered that both payments had been deducted from my account. When I contacted customer service, they advised me to return to the store for resolution. Unfortunately, upon my return, the staff could not provide any assistance. I was informed that the store manager would be available the following Thursday to help fix the issue. When I returned today, the manager was absent, but I did manage to find an assistant who confirmed that I had been charged twice. They explained that the system was not functioning correctly and told me to come back the next day. This entire process has left me extremely frustrated. I’ve spent hours trying to resolve an issue that should have been straightforward, and despite their apologies, nothing has changed. For me, Β£100 is a significant amount, and I had been optimistic about using my card instead of their app, which has also had its own issues. At this point, I have decided not to return to this store. To anyone considering shopping here, I strongly advise keeping a close eye on your bank account.

I visited for the first time yesterday and definitely will be shopping here. I really love the range of things available to buy at a good price. The only things i could afford were the eggs. The shop was well stocked and the staff were polite and professional.

I like the shop and go element BUT I have just moved into Greenwich High Rd, every morning at 5am I'm woken up by your huge truck making your deliveries, parking on the main rd. There are a lot of residents in this area, many elderly as in my building for over 55's. The noise is horrendous. It would be easier if it pulled into the big car park in front. Also WHY do the large lights at front of store have to be on all night. This is not considering the community you are part of and your biggest customer base. This is an add-on after speaking to other residents in our building and finding out the number of complaints about the early morning deliveries that no one at Aldi responds to. Also no one has the courtesy to respond to this review. Our building has been here since 1990 and Aldi came here in Jan 2022 with no concern for the residential area surrounding it. Every morning people are woken up at 5am with deliveries that can go on for an hour and 30 mins. There are elderly and unwell residents here, it's retired living similar to sheltered housing. Sainsbury's in the same precinct has their deliveries at 10pm which is completely acceptable. Why also in these times of energy crisis are there 10 floodlights at the front of the building, shining directly into ours 24/7. This company do not care about the community.

You need the app to shop here. The people milling about outside are usually either downloading it or loading it up. Getting data and connecting to the app can be hit and miss, which is annoying. Once you have the app open you get a qr code to scan in at the gates to let you in. One person is able to scan in multiple people, which is handy. So you don't all need to have the app. If you've used the Amazon fresh groceries shops, then you'll be familiar with the premise. Basically the system of cameras and weights will sense what you pick up off the shelves and take with you. If you put things back on the shelves it shouldn't be added to your (virtual) basket. If it's your first time shopping like this, you might feel a bit weird about just putting stuff in your bag/pockets/hands and walking out. The app is linked to whichever credit cards you load on. There are no tills, so once you're done you just head back out the exit barriers and that card will be charged. There are staff about to help if you're confused or unable to get in/out. Generally the receipt takes a little while to be emailed/uploaded to the app. So, don't expect to instantaneously be able to check it. However, you should once it's available as sometimes the system miscalculates what you took or misses what you put back. You can make a challenge via the app and it should be resolved not too long after.

First time at this Aldi. Cons: 1) parking isn't free and no discount for making a purchase; 2) store was poorly stocked with lots of empty shelves so I couldn't get all my items. Pros: I didn't have to wait in the usual Aldi queue. I wouldn't go out of the way to visit this location again.

Aldi supermarket but with the option to just collect your products and walk out without using the cashier, the receipt is sent to your app and charged directly into your credit card. Same variety of products as any other Aldi. Worth to try shopping there. There is staff in the entrance to help you on your first time.
