   I would not recommend anyone to have this (formerly very efficient) place as the ‘named’ pharmacy for their prescriptions. It seems to have become chaotic and oversubscribed. Today I stood waiting for about forty minutes . All prescriptions are now only filled when you arrive in the shop, and an unpleasant young woman on the counter told me she’d ‘look in her crystal ball’ before I came next time, if I expected anything else! There seem to be ongoing supply and computer difficulties too, and during my long wait I witnessed several other customers having problems over prescriptions which were outstanding or missing. I have already changed pharmacy, as I would never wish to experience such really upsetting rudeness, let alone the protracted waits, (this was not a one-off), ever again. I’m sure Mr Singh is as well meaning and helpful as ever, but possibly a victim of his own success?

   Have to say Gurjit is wonderful, but my Mum went in yesterday to collect her prescription (ordered exactly a week ago) & it wasn't ready as usual, she waited half an hour. Lady on duty had a go at her & was just so offhand! The box is there for repeat prescriptions which says 3 days. I've been to collect on her behalf & it's never ready, even after over a week. I think they are so popular and busy, but now cannot cope with demand. Please sort your staffing out. Mum has just come to me saying she's going to stop taking her heart medication, as she can't cope with the horrible person she dealt with yesterday! Please advise of the best way to order a prescription & it be ready to collect, as she isn't online & I'm not always around to do it for her. Thanks & sorry, but it's going downhill.

   Avoid avoid avoid. Husband had his prescriptions here and they advised him to join the prescription scheme, he did, he went to pick up a prescription and was told by the cashier to not pay. He then received a fine for not paying. We contacted the pharmacy and was told that they couldn't do anything and we had to pay the fine, we paid. He went the next month and the cashier again said he didn't have to pay but he countered this time to avoid the fine. I emailed once more to say your cashier again told him not to pay but they accepted no fault once again Changed to boots who do home delivery and no worries over fines. What company signs someone up to something, doesn't explain it, advised them to not pay then accepts no responsibility?!

   Just to say what a fantastic service. Went the extra mile when dealing with my prescription request. Not your ordinary Pharmacy! Fantastic service, very lucky to have them in Otley. Nothing is too much trouble.

   Mr Singh looked after my elderly mother for many years before she moved into a care home. His attentive kindness and professionalism went well beyond the level of service normally given by any pharmacist I have ever dealt with. Mr Singh is clearly dedicated to his calling and I am grateful to him for that.

   Waiting times too long Limited access based on covid presumably if so this totally lacks logic and science Thought we’d moved on. Will that rule change when it’s cold and wet outside? Just thinking of cold and flu prevention for the vulnerable

   I have used Otley Pharmacy (OP) continuously for the past 4 years, since becoming paralyzed and wheelchair dependent following a spinal trauma. I am also housebound much of the time too, (i.e.when assistance to overcome property access issues is not available). Throughout this time, OP has provided exceptional service in terms of maintaining my complex prescription needs. This includes regular home delivery of all routine items, as well as arranging short notice home delivery where I have not been able to arrange the collection of GP emergency / add-on items. Without this level of service, it would have been extremely difficult, if not impossible,, to keep on top of all my medication needs. So I would like to say a massive thank you, to all the staff at Otley Pharmacy and (of course) to Gurjit, who has always shown a level of understanding, dedication and service which has been nothing less than truly exceptional.
