Always nice service, polite and helpful staff and good choice of produce. Free coffee for shoppers (although I never used this service), plenty of parking spaces. Always a pleasure to shop
A waitrose assistant called Deorah was extremely helpful ,supporting me with my parcel that I needed to return . She was very polite and very respectful explaining what I needed to do .. I happen to observe her with other customers and she was just as supportive to them . An excellent experience thanks to Deborah.
This is the only supermarket I regularly visit, so I shop here often. However, I increasingly come here specifically for products that I believe are of better quality compared to other stores—like Waitrose’s own brand items and selections from their butcher and deli counters. Sometimes, I also stop by for urgent purchases when needed. For most other groceries, value for money outweighs the convenience of shopping at this location; I prefer to order online for delivery, travel a bit further to other chains, or visit the excellent independent grocers found across Chingford’s urban high streets and neighbouring areas.
Love this Waitrose. Always got an incredible selection of food and drinks and the veg/meat lasts a long time in the fridge. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that the bathroom always smells terrible and the hand soap in their smells rancid. They need to have people clean it more often and get some kind of ventilation in there.
I'd tell anyone working for Waitrose to visit their local Marks & Spencer "Simply Food"...to go and experience for yourself..how food retailing should be carried out in 2025. In comparison, Waitrose have seemingly completely lost their way....and are being rapidly left-behind. It really is no wonder that Waitrose market-share is suffering. A quick visit to Buckhurst Hill pretty much tells you everything that you need to know. You do pay more, but you ultimately - get much less. Utterly uninspired, depressing, staff-shortages, stock-shortages, stock stacked dangerously and precariously...but staff trying their best. Management are utterly out-of-touch with their customers. I avoid shopping here now. It's an utter disgrace. ..."Shrink-flation" is rife in Waitrose...you're getting far less for spending roughly 25% more. Do Waitrose buyers not have any negotiation backbone?.... Is it any wonder why recent press-reports show an increase in middle-class shoplifting? Waitrose is broken...as is, Great Britain.
Why has the quality of the coffee deteriorated. It used to be worth having, before Covid. It’s too awful even for free!
Always handy for bits and pieces, they usually have what I need. Particularly good for my daughter who has many food allergies and they stock good vegan options. Nice bakery and cakes!
Quiet when I visited. Good selection of items except for the frozen section which is often depleted. Helpful and polite staff.
Don't use the checkout service here, I scanned an item however, there was a problem, a man approached me and said "What happened here?" and then counted the number of items in my bag!?!?! A bit OTT much? I gave this branch two stars as when I asked different assistant for drinks, he was polite.
First time visting this waitrose store and was very impressed. Very good customer service I received. Had plenty of food and drinks in stock. It wasn't busy when I was shopping in there. A average size store.
