This is a convenient local store, with a good variety on offer, they even have some organic items. The staff are friendly and helpful

Easily the worst Tesco I’ve ever used. They hide the bags as they are worried people will steal them, meaning you can’t use the self checkout, then 50% of the time there is nobody behind the counter, you wait a minute or two to be served to be told there is always someone behind the counter. When using the self checkout I’ve had staff asking if I’ve paid for the bag aggressively as though I am stealing, which I’m not. Weird place, the customers are all nice and friendly, the staff are not and it’s more concerned with losing bags than efficiency.

Today I went into the store and was told by a member of staff that I should use one of the clear metal baskets as ‘I looked suspicious’ and therefore using a TESCO bag wasn’t adequate in his opinion. He then followed me to tell me to use a metal clear basket though I only purchased 3 things. As much as I would like to say this is an isolated event not based on anything, as a black male, hearing the words that I look suspicious doing my daily shop as I usually would in Tesco, I’m now reluctant to step back into the shop. Not only that; I was not the only one in the store using a separate plastic bag, some were even using Waitrose plastic bags but me using Tesco’s own branded plastic bags made me look suspicious? I left the store at around 6:37pm on Tuesday 9th of July and this worker was by the fruits.

I don’t know who’s running this store but This Tesco is DISGUSTING. They only appear to ever stock the most expensive branded products. I understand small independent corner shops doing this but Tesco’s is a multi-million (if not billion) co-orperation), it’s not like they need the extra cash and with this store in particular it seems particularly exploitative given that people are struggling to even afford food. One example is oats, they have a whole shelf dedicated to oats with not one own brand option, a basic bag of oats is what 90p? But not this Tesco only stock branded oats £2+ so double the price. Instead of having jam, they have strawberry conserve priced at £3.65 a jar. It’s absolutely disgusting. With this Tesco pricing things the way they do we’ve now started going to our local corner shop, who had jam for £1.99. I’m not sure how other Tesco express are priced but I have never noticed any local shop to be as bad as this one. I’m unsure as to whether a complaint to watch dog has been made about this already but best believe I’ll be making one about this store in particular with evidence to substantiate. I sincerely hope Tesco rethink their strategy and/or this complaint reaches whoever runs the store so they can rethink theirs because this has been getting worse for over a year now and like I said I’ve known any other store to be this bad for it… maybe it’s time for new management.

This store refused my friend entry today because of the size of her buggy. I am a solo parent to 18 month old triplets and am currently home very sick. My friend offered to take my triplets out and grab emergencies supplies. It was 3:45pm on a Sunday. The security guard said the triplet buggy was too wide and ushered her out of the shop. The triplet buggy is the same dimensions as a mobility scooter. Are disabled people also not allowed in this Tesco? Absolutely shocking. My friend was speechless and not use to such discrimination so just left in shock. I then ordered supplies to be delivered by co-op as no other shops open. Appalling treatment.

Not the best for a schoolkid.. Shopping in here is very risky as if you go in as a schoolkid you have to buy something or you will be permanently banned from going back into the store. So if they don't have what you want, you are at risk of leaving and getting banned. You have to buy something there essentially. Staff keep a stern eye on school kids but to the point where you have to buy something

This is tropical Tesco express store. Due to size limited products and choices. Thier was no fesh barkey available as this store does not sell it. Also limited lines off beer. But can get other products instead.

The staff who work here are always friendly. Treat them well and they treat you the same. This little store has served me well during the pandemic and I prefer going here to the co op. Yes prices are higher than main store and limited stock but mostly you can get what you need. Thanks guys !!!!!
