Very old style super market, very small in size. Good for small shopping. They need to do renovations. They have good parking place. Itβs at a good location. Overall good for small quick shopping.

It's a good-sized Sainsbury's, which has a good kosher and halal section, as well as a good stock of beauty products, and the rest as you would expect. The reason for the 3 stars, is for the feel/appearance and lack of tills operating. I don't believe this branch has been updated in many years - aisles feel worn and dirty, and I noticed 2 shelving were a bit rickety. There were no tills open, only the self-scan points. It's a store used by many elderly people (I was with my 83-year old aunt) and having at least 1 till open, would bring some comfort for them.

Inside of the shop is well overdue a refurbishment. Product choice is generally good but prices on the whole are on the expensive side, only cheaper than the extortionate, pretentious Waitrose. Staff are quite aloof and not warm but then which supermarket store has warm, approachable staff? Not even Waitrose staff these days (probably because they haven't got a decent bonus for some time?). Parking is generally okay.

I dropped off some items off today in the food bank donation point inside the Barkingside store about 4:30pm with my 2 year old daughter. I was shouted at by a member of staff (cashier) who told me βto stop stealing from the food bankβ. I was incredibly embarrassed as was a busy store. I proceeded to tell her that I was dropping food off for the food bank and getting my daughter to help me put the food in there for those in need. Not even an apology. My wife was in the store and she made a complaint to the security guard (Keith) who said βoh well, thatβs just Rose Marie for youβ! We left as had the 2 kids with us but otherwise would have spoken to the manager in there. Itβs unacceptable for members of staff in the times we live in at the moment to accuse people like us who are just trying to help. The staff in that store are genuinely rude and we let it pass because it must be a difficult job. But itβs getting to the point that we wonβt if the abuse they receive back is justified. The manager there is very helpful. She must find it incredibly hard working with such half wits. Chris

Keith Security Staff Unprofessional Behaviour, came in to the store on Thursday at 8:55PM store Closes at 9PM. Self Checkouts were still open as there were still some people paying and there was still 5 minutes left. I only needed to get emergency one (1) item and I told βKeithβ security staff that I will quickly take the one item and go to Self Checkout whereas he has put his Voice Up and said Store is CLOSED BYE and didnβt proceed to listen at all. Note there was still 5 Minutes left till store closure time. Really really rude and unprofessional behaviour!

It was pleasant, except for the smartshop app. I was unable to complete the process due to an error, in the system. I had to finish my payment using my physical card. It worked seamlessly at other shops.

Large store with good range of food, clothes and household stuff. No cafe anymore which is a bit of a shame as while there are loads of restaurants close by there is nowhere close enough to get sonrtjing light like a quick cuppa and a sandwich.
