   Seemingly dearer than other Tescos stores, Their club card scanner on the self service often doesn’t work properly so you get striped up there. It also stinks. Like someone spilt coffee and for it to have never been cleaned up. Every time I go in there the smell seems like it’s been topped up. If you can go elsewhere then my advice is do so.

   Outstanding Service at Tesco Express – 185 Manford Way, Chigwell IG7 4DN I would like to take the time to highlight the exceptional customer service I received from Theeban Ramanathan at Tesco Express, 185 Manford Way, Chigwell IG7 4DN. Recently, I was shopping for a birthday cake for my father-in-law and wasn’t sure which one to choose. Theeban went out of his way to help me find one of the best cakes available in the store. His help made a big difference, and the cake turned out to be a fantastic choice. I was also planning to buy four different types of Coca-Cola, and Theeban suggested I purchase a multi-pack instead to save money. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely looks out for the customer’s best interest. Not only that – he even carried the heavy pack to the till for me. That small act of kindness was much appreciated. I’ve lived in the area all my life and have been shopping at this Tesco Express for many years. Until recently, I never felt acknowledged – no greetings, no smiles, no help, and never once offered a basket. Since Theeban joined the store a few weeks ago, I’ve noticed a real and positive shift in the atmosphere. He always greets customers with a warm smile, offers help without being asked, and makes sure people feel welcome. If a product is missing from the shelf, he asks me to continue shopping while he checks the stockroom, and he always brings it to me directly. If the item isn’t stocked at all, he suggests useful alternatives and even promises to raise it with management to try to get it added in the future. He also takes the time to explain current offers and promotions. I used to just pick up a sandwich and a drink, until Theeban told me I could get a snack included in the meal deal. When I explained I don’t eat chocolate or crisps because I prefer healthier options, he personally showed me the healthy snack range and walked me through everything that was included – including the fact that coffee is also part of the meal deal! This level of care, attention to detail, and genuine willingness to help is exactly what our local community needs. Theeban is professional, thoughtful, and goes to great lengths to ensure a great customer experience. Tesco is very lucky to have him. Staff like Theeban make a real difference and deserve recognition. I truly hope his efforts don’t go unnoticed – he has completely transformed the atmosphere in that store.

   The asian lady behind the til has who has served me on several iccasions has over charged me. Why ?when the til does all the math? She also needs to be more helpful and polite, shes very rude..

   Horrible customer Services. Lady store manager is rude no customer services what so ever. Next door Nisa is 100 times better.

   They seem to close 10 mins earlier than they should. Some days 5 mins early. Unacceptable. Store should close at stated time

   I don't feel like this is a good place to shop in comparison to Nisa next door and since they had their refit a few years back, there is less products and more silly things. The staff are mostly nice however. Shame about the queues for the till at the busy times

   It is a convenient corner shop and that is it you can happily do a shopping trip there to top up or get a few things but nothing else. There is more fruit and vegetables than anything else and not a wide variety of food. It isn’t particularly the cleanest and most looked after place with lack of stock. The staff are quite slow with not enough of them at a time in the store serving customers or stocking the shelves. But it is a secure place with very nice staff but that is it.
