   Really rude Indian manager there. The shop assistant was binning some items just before closing time , I got a Kimchi from the "waste bag" and the manager had the audacity to ask me to pay for it although I got it from THE WASTE BAG!!! The manager even supervised me while I scanned and paid for it. Such a weird person to be running a store, madness!

   Staff are incompetent can't do their job. The items scanned at full price on the till didn't realise it hadn't been discounted till i paid. When I bought it to there attention it took 3 of them to check the price and then they couldn't fix the issue saying they have no override on the system to correct the price.And he couldn't sell me the item also as my weekly offer had already been scanned he can't give me that either... Totally unacceptable customer service.. Only place in the area to buy from they have the monopoly and can't even do their job!!!!

   Barking Riverside Co-Op is a great local store with long opening hours (7 am – 10 pm), perfect for early or late shopping. It offers a wide variety of items, including fresh bakery goods, hot food, and a convenient coffee machine. The daily clearance section often has fantastic deals. Located in the spacious and beautifully designed new-build area of Barking Riverside, it’s only a two-minute walk from the bus station and around ten minutes from the train station. A clean, friendly, and well-stocked store that’s a real asset to the community.

   I witnessed the manager, Waqqas, shouting at staff in front of customers. He explained it was meant as a “joke,” but this kind of behaviour is unprofessional and intimidating. I’m leaving this review to remind him to respect his hardworking staff and to ensure that all employees feel supported, even in a busy environment.

   Very disappointing and shocking horrible customer service , went after work to get milk for my little one , the staff their said while cleaning the fridge that he has milk in the store room fridge but he can’t get it for some reasons he only knows and decide not to disclose , a few second letter another customer requester milk and they brought it for him, I feel discriminated at this moment , what’s the point we have a local Coop if we will receive such a horrible experience I end up going to minter road brunch where I always receive world class service all the time.

   This is a great store with a surprisingly large range for what looks like a small store on the outside. Includes food to go, in store bakery, Coffee machine, fruit and veg and free-from range!
