   Shopping experience turned into a nightmare. Mistreatment from Eurocarparks and dept collectors asking for £170 payment. I will never be using any Sainsbury's in any part of this country or my life. I would rather shop at Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl etc. I never had this issue with them and it would cost much lower as well because I wouldn't get ridiculous fines like this. Edit: Today I have received response from Sainsbury's that they have cancelled the PCN and that I do not need to take any further action. Thank you Sainsbury's. Can't express enough about how much of a relief this was for me.

   I'd previously left an ambivalent review for this branch of Sainsbury's, due to lack of staff and difficult car parking primarily. However, the last few visits have all been very positive: Well stocked aisles and more staff assisting at the self-checkouts than I'd found previously. Car parking is less flexible than it used to be, but at least it's easier to find a space now, (more room upstairs than on the ground floor of the car park). Overall a good improvement - well done.

   Trusted this store for a while, but went in there yesterday there was meat in the fridge, a lot of it grey and clearly very discoloured and some unsafe to consume in my opinion although they were in date . There was blood stains on the fridge shelves from spillages on the meat that have not been cleared which is contaminating the other packing! The salmon fridge had a very strong smell as if there was a leakage pretty bad, you shouldn’t smell vacuum sealed salmon right? I feel like either they aren’t being stored quick enough or not put back properly on a shelf after people look at them.

   Edit 15/09/25: Photos from earlier today. Why is the Sainsbury’s bakery so dysfunctional? No baguettes, rolls or fresh bread. The bakery is not fit for purpose. Can someone from Sainsbury’s Springfield, Chelmsford please go on secondment to the Brentwood branch and show them how to produce tasty, fresh bread. They can also demonstrate how it is possible to have crusty rolls early in the morning and not delayed until almost lunch time.

   Large car park but you have to pay for over an hour. You get an hour free. The supermarket is large and offers everything you would need. Lots of clothes there, too. Friendly and helpful staff.

   Was overcharged (2 bottles of champagne put through as 3), no problem, mistakes happen. Went to customer service, huge queue so I asked a member of staff to get a manager as I didn't feel I should have to wait around to get their mistake fixed. Member of staff returned advising his manager had said the only way to get it resolved was to queue for customer services. I asked again to speak to the manager but they had disappeared. My main complaint is against that manager (other staff were fine) who obviously has no idea what good customer service is & was happy for a customer to hang around wasting time to fix their mistake.

   Having become a convert to a foreign interloper several years ago we no longer enjoy these great big stores. People fighting for parking spaces was a put off before we even started. Hustle and bustle inside store not a good experience. Glad to get out of it. Only good side was they actually had tills open with cashier's operating them, albeit it took some time for a solitary supervisor to arrive and sort out a query. Oh yeah, we don't like the prices either.
