   I love this corner shop. They are such wonderful people, so friendly, polite and community spirited. Practically sell everything. Most of all the deli counter is the best. They have a range of tasty sandwiches and baguettes which are packed with filling and a reasonable price. Can get hot meals too, really lovely curries and jerk chicken rice & peas. Have nice pastries in the morning and make a great cup of tea. Thank you

   This has been my local shop for as long as I can remember, I'm 21 and have regularly gone here since I was in a pram, needless to say I am an extremely loyal customer, I often tell the workers there I love their shop, keep doing what you're doing, great sandwiches etc. etc. Recently I have seen less and less of the OG older guy who owns the shop, it is mainly the lady and younger man who main the shop now, I have noticed quite a few times that they have poor customer service often coming across as rude and unfriendly and they overcharge on payments (eg: if an item is £3.89 they will put it through as £4 which is obviously pennies so not that deep but still pretty bold) I have let this slide and not put much thought into this a lot. I go multiple times a week during my dog walk and always leave my dog outside while I shop, unfortunately yesterday when I went to the shop I experienced the nail in the coffin... my dog did a runny poo while I was in there, I went back into the shop to grab some doggy bags and let the lady know what happened, and that I was happy to clean it up, I go up to the till, let her know I'm really sorry, but the dog did a poo outside, but I'm more then happy to clean it up, and ask if I could have a cup of warm water to clean it, she tells me it'll be a 50p charge! I said... "Okay, well I'm not paying to clean it, so I'll just get the bags..." was doing it out of kindness, trying to do the right thing and prevent them from doing a gross job and she tried to charge me! Insane, I work in retail, I would NEVER charge someone for a cup of warm water! All she had to do was run the tap for 10 seconds, why would I pay 50p for that? Crazy... between this and the general poor customer service I won't be coming back. To the owner of the shop and the newer lady, you're both wonderful! But the other two have made it so you won't be seeing me again, it's just a shame that after this long, this shop no longer has my loyalty because of poor staff, something that used to be so far from the truth.

   A good place with friendly service and nice sandwiches, but in 2024 they are still charging customers a fee to pay by card for transactions. This is not acceptable. I am reporting it to traiding standards and to HMRC.
