We celebrated our sonβs 6th birthday at Park in the Past, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The βWildcraftβ themed party was a brilliant blend of adventure, creativity, and nature. It was a refreshing change from the usual soft play or bouncy castle party setups and absolutely perfect for Minecraft lovers! The children were fully immersed in the adventure by running around collecting items like gold blocks, trading them at a market to buy materials, and building their own shelters. They earned XP points for their creations and ended the quest by hiding from a βCreeperβ, which added a thrilling finale to the experience. James, who ran the party, was superb. He managed to keep 18 excited children engaged and under control single handedly (no small feat!) The handcrafted wooden swords he gave to each child were a huge hit and added a special touch to the day. Many parents messaged me afterwards to say how much fun their children had and how memorable the party was. Despite running out of time, James kindly let the children toast marshmallows over the fire, and even helped us hang up a piΓ±ata at the end. His calm, capable presence and outdoor skills made him feel like a real-life Bear Grylls. It was a truly magical experience - one that created lasting childhood memories and will be talked about for years to come.

An excellent course on foraging and outdoor cookery. Lot of time exploring the forest and learning about plants both for food and medicinal purposes, followed by demonstrations of different cooking techniques and fire management. The course was hosted by James and Lea (husband and wife who run Woodland Classrooms) and they are both knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the Wild food foraging and cookery course. I came home with such a big smile on my face from spending the whole day outdoors, sharing time preparing and cooking lovely food with like-minded people and I learned a lot! James and Lea were excellent hosts, down to earth and bags of enthusiasm!

What an absolutely brilliant day I had on Woodland Classroom's Feast and Fire campfire/outdoor cooking skills course. It was a dizzying array of so many skills and techniques for taking the art of creating a feast out of the kitchen and into the outdoors. Our brains were fit to burst at the end with so much learning - but not quite as much as our stomachs from the most sumptuous food! Hot smoking mackerel and beef jerky, roasting a full joint of beef and vegetables in an earth oven, panasse skewered fish over the fire, cooking lentil dahl, caramel baked apples and stout and fruit bread (not in the same dish!) in dutch ovens, baking Welsh cakes in a reflector oven, pan frying fishcakes, fire baked homemade chappatis.....Just wow! Can't recommend this course, and our leader James, highly enough. Think I might be ready to eat again in a week!

What a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I took part in the woodlands Autumn foraging course and my brain now feels full of knowledge! I feel much more confident with mushrooms and am totally fascinated with how available other wild foods are. Thank you James and Dave for being so engaging and sharing your passion with us. It was brilliant. We will be back again for the winter forage!

James and Lea came to do a full Wildcraft day with my Year 5 class on school premises and it was fantastic! Even the children who didn't play Minecraft had a brilliant day. They worked in teams, scoring points for collecting resources, trading, den building and more. It was lovely to see the children enjoying the outdoors and learning new skills. James and Lea made the day exciting, adventurous and everything was done safely. I would fully recommend Woodland Classroom for a school trip and will definitely be looking to book again. Thanks for a great day the children will remember for a long time.
