A girl working at the bar with blondish hair was extremely rude after she accidentally took away a drink that I had just bought. She completely disregarded me and then sprayed cleaning solution on me without apologizing. Another lady with dark hair helped me out.
Bar 42 is a small, nice bar that’s great for private and party bookings. They serve a good variety of drinks, and although they don’t offer food, they do accept both cash and card payments, which is convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was a girl named Kalcy who took my order perfectly—always smiling, greeting people warmly, and providing excellent service. Overall, it’s a good place to relax and enjoy drinks with great service.
Been coming for years, ange and liban were amazing and years later, Debs, Elina, and Hope were lovely at the bar. They sorted me out with drinks when a payment got mixed up and made up for it with customer service. Walter and Brandon on the door were also lovely. Would recommend to anyone
Bouncer wouldn't let us in for wearing denim shorts. Yet allowe others in Used to he a good place wouldn't recommend again. Hence why 5 people in on a Friday night.
There was a big group of my mates out, and this bouncer was incredibly aggressive and rude to us. He refused entry to the first one of us trying to get in claiming she was “too drunk”. Yet the person had not had a single drink yet. When another one of my friends explained this and questioned it, he got very aggressive saying none of us where allowed in because of her answering back. He was stuck up, arrogant, aggressive, racist and Rude. The other bouncers said they was sorry to us and tried to stay out of it as they where apparently “employed by him”. Disgraceful and ruined our night. Because of this I have to rate it 1*. Despite seeing other replies to these poor reviews about the bouncers that the security team arnt apart of your business and are employed by another company, I feel that it is your job to make sure the security team that stand outside your building are respectful people.
Female bouncer on 18/03/2023 was very rude, she was abusive and aggressive with no reason. Other bouncer seemed embarrassed and apologetic for her. May need to consider some de-escalation training to deal with her obvious anger issues.
Really cool wee pub with some good cheesy music and a brilliant atmosphere. Bar staff are cool too and very fast at serving. Slightly annoying that the music vibe switches massively between 80s, 90s, dance, rap etc with zero mixing between. Hard to settle into a nice rhythm and vibe when you don't know what's coming next
Came here for a night out after about 4 years and it was incredible. The place is small but not cramped, the music in both the downstairs area and Tiki Bar was really good. Drinks were somewhat pricey but the interactions with bar staff made it worth it. The bartender in particular who was making my drinks was VERY knowledgeable about their line of work and what they do and I had many interesting conversations with them. Would 100% go again.
Security guard Craig and the other members of staff I spoke to were so helpful, they really care about the safety of those in the bar. I can’t thank Craig enough for all of his help and support.
Quite possibly the worst service I have ever received in any form of bar! Lady made an honest mistake and used rum instead of brandy. When I asked if the drinks could be changed I was greeted with a bad temper. The 2 drinks I had paid for (£24.00) were thrown away and I was told I wouldn’t be getting a new one! Terrible…
