   We booked an amazing tour of Sri Lanka through Experience Travel Group. Lola was very detail based when asking about our requirements and wishes. She offered valuable advice too. Irosh, our guide and driver, couldn’t be faulted either. Even passing comments like ,”I like waterfalls “, meant he made sure I saw plenty of fabulous waterfalls and when we asked for a route change via Galle it was instantly done. We would thoroughly recommend ETG (Experience Travel Group).

   A simply stellar agency. Lola organised a tailored tour of India for us. Her care and attention to detail was exceptional - right down to ensuring that one of our hotels (on remote Havelock Island in Andaman) procured a small stock of our favourite drinks in advance of our arrival. Absolutely nothing was left to chance, and Lola and the team were there to assist at every stage - from the initial enquiry, right through to the end of our trip (when they helped us negotiate the Heathrow power outage). On the ground, everything was perfect - every hotel was a perfect choice; our driver was wonderful; every guide was excellent; and every element of the tour was carefully curated to meet our preferences. We would recommend ETG and Lola to anyone - we have never experienced better.

   So grateful to Experience Travel Group for curating such a beautiful and immersive visit for us to Sri Lanka. From the moment we were picked up from the airport we felt transported into another world - full of colour, comfort and care. Our guide brought each new place we visited even more to life with his stories of, and passion, for the Sri Lankan history, culture and nature. Although we stayed at many beautiful places, including Notaries House, The Last House, Amba Estate and Taru Villas, our highlight was The Mud House where we spent time with the team who built and maintain this incredible ecosystem. It is clear that ETG take care of their people - employees and guests - ensuring that tourism continues to support the local economy, in the most respectful way. We would highly recommend using them and excited to travel with them and their partners in other parts of the world - thank you Sam and team.

   Just returned from 3 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia. Our objective was to see beyond the war-torn media coverage and to get to understand the culture and the people. The tours were exceptional and exactly what we were looking for, from city walking food tours to madcap Vespa rides into the countryside; from kayaking in the Bay, to a fishing boat and floating restaurant on Cambodia's lake. We have been tested beyond our comfort zones, but have learned so much about those beautiful countries, and their troubled past. So, once again Experience Travel has been a most satisfactory choice. We’re knackered, but have a very rich stream of memorable experiences, have met some extraordinary people, and had some amazing adventures. (I’d never been on the back of motor bike before). That Jaya House River Park was a special experience to end the trip, and the Capella in Hanoi was a perfect entry point to the South East Asian culture shock. And in between: variety, rising suns, stunning pools, ancient history and long abandoned temples, information, statistics, recent personal tragic histories, cuisine, and traffic. We can now cross a Hanoi or Saigon main street with confidence. Everyday a new adventure and a new Experience.

   We just returned from a two-week trip to Vietnam, which was a customized private tour developed for us by ETG. We were deeply disappointed. The itineraries scheduled did not reflect our interest or instructions, rather it was the standard ordinary tour. That was the quality of the hotels and vehicle drivers was excellent the tour guide support largely unsatisfactory. We fired three of the five guides because they were neither communicative no more well-informed. We “flat out“ refused to do some activities and eat at tourist restaurants scheduled by ETG and were in frequent communication with the Hanoi office to modify our program. In sum, these issues, created anxiety, frustration and required, detail attention to scheduling our days. Our trip was saved by Lan Pham the local ETG representative who responded promptly and changed our activities. He was open, friendly, and went out of his way to see that we got a brief chance to explore some of the ancient byway’s and local foods. He understood our requests and was easily able to accommodate our desire to see the “real” Vietnam We loved Vietnam, in spite of ETG. This is the avenue I is filled with young people and the activity of the country going forward. This sense of history combined with the decorative sensibility, the spicy refreshing Vietnamese food, and the friendliness of the local people contributed to an excellent trip. ETG over promised, and under delivered so we strongly recommend go elsewhere.

   I've just returned from my second holiday with Experience Travel group - this time to Thailand. What makes this company stand out is that the tours are tailored to your personal preferences and level of fitness - anything from a lazy few days in a luxury hotel to a more adventurous trek. Without exception the local guides are friendly, eager to convey the love of their own country, so you'll get a real insight into the culture and cuisine at local markets and restaurants as well as seeing the 'must-do' attractions of the areas visited. Brilliant!

   My husband and I just got back from a wonderful tour to Borneo with Experience Travel Group. Our Travel Consultant James listened, prepared and delivered an amazing, diverse and detailed itinerary which came to life enabling us to experience the diversity of the style of accommodation, culture and wildlife and appreciate the care and attention of all staff who were so friendly and willing to please and to meet like-minded people. The guides were so knowledgeable especially the Specialist Nature Guide who made our wildlife adventures so exciting. We feel very privileged to have made this trip and appreciate the care and attention received from all those involved who made our holiday so enjoyable and memorable. This is our second tour with ETG and we would highly recommend. They are with you all the way ensuring that you make the most of your trip. From experience I know they are there to help at any time providing advice or assistance if needed which is good to know when you are so far away from home.
