I didn’t expect to be forced into being my own cashier. You have to scan all your items yourself, pay a surprisingly high price for bags, and then deal with exit gates that only open if your receipt scans properly. In my case, the receipt didn’t scan, so I was stuck there waiting for someone to come and unlock it. On the way out, there’s yet another gate and a security guard, which makes the place feel excessively secured. I really question whether locking customers in like this is appropriate at all, especially from a health and safety perspective. It’s also unclear whether staff actually have the legal right to stop customers from leaving just because a receipt doesn’t scan. It would be worth an audit to see how staff are trained to handle these situations. That said, the shop itself is clean, well stocked, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Those parts were absolutely fine.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – FELT DISCRIMINATORY I was with a group of friends and we were confused about how to check out. Instead of helping us, a staff member angrily told us, β€œGet out, just get out.” It was shocking and completely unprofessional. The way we were treated felt discriminatory and targeted toward non-whites, even though the staff himself was non-white. Overall, the customer service was appalling.

Not great but serves a purpose. I've shopped here a couple times and every time its very disorganized with products just strewn about with little care. Finding what you actually want is very difficult unless you have time to scan every inch of the premises. That being said it is in a very convenient position being just a couple minutes from both Hammersmith train stations and surrounded by an IKEA, Primark and various other stores. Although this one is closer to me I take the slightly longer trek to the Lidl on North End Road for a more pleasant and organized shop.

Lidl Hammersmith * Value for Money: Like most Lidl stores, the Hammersmith branch has competitive prices, offering good value on a range of products. * Convenient Location: Situated in Livat Hammersmith, it's easily accessible and offers parking. * Bakery: The in-store bakery is a positive, with fresh and affordable baked goods. * Community Involvement: Lidl Hammersmith actively participates in schemes to reduce food waste and support local charities, donating surplus food to those in need. Opening Hours: * Monday - Saturday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM * Sunday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overall: Lidl Hammersmith offers the expected Lidl experience of affordable groceries and a bakery.

Super cheap place to shop. They have packed alot in..loads of deals and discounted items.you have everything, from fruit, vegetables, nuts, milk, cheese dairy, bath items, fresh bakery section, sweets, chocolates, herb and spices etc. staff are always busy but efficient. They have self checkout stations which help move things along.

Smaller than other Lidls I have seen but has most of the essentials. Great vegan range these days! It is conveniently located inside the shopping centre and the queue was reasonable on a Friday evening. There are only self-checkout queues however and some people had a lot of groceries so I see how the queue could be a lot longer

Rude new security guard . Always shop there. Massive queue today. Didn't to go through the queue and bother customers as I hadn't bought anything and left straight away when I saw the queue with no articles to buy. Went back from the main door security guard was nit nice at all. Usually they are cool and I always print my receipts. I personally work in a store. Security guards in my store don't accuse ppl with no proof......making them look bad when they look bad when they haven't done anything wrong

I picked up a bottle of wine marked Β£6.49 on the shelf. When I scanned it at the till, the price appeared as Β£7.99 so I cancelled my transaction to go and inform a manager. He told me he wouldn’t honour the price on the shelf because I hadn’t already paid. I felt let down since I had taken the time to bring the store’s error to his attention. I’ll continue to shop there because the wine can be good value. But I felt there was room for improvement with how I was dealt with as a customer.

Always fresh produce and great prices, look for offers and save more money. Prices are very competitive both for known brands and their own brands. Several times I tried Lidl's brands, the quality was exactly like competitors but the price is much lower.

The queue to pay is very long. For the low prices, you pay for a low shopping experience. Rubbish on the floor, hustle-bustle in the aisles, and shop assistants shouting. It is certainly not a relaxing experience but happy with the money I spent inside. This is why I am giving Lidl 4 out of 5 stars. Thank you.
