On 02/12/25 at 21:18, I had a poor experience at self-service. The staff member ignored me while helping others, then handled my items roughly and spoke rudely when he finally came over. This needs attention from management.

I went, a lot, to this Lidl store and the floor staff had always been really helpful and polite, but, the problem started with two security guards. The first time anything happened a non white man, with no visible uniform and had a bobble hat came running after me outside this store, grabbed my arm and shouted that I was stealing, then the large non white man, with a beard and had a uniform, also came outside accusing me of stealing, I showed him inside my bag and he didn't find anything, apart from what I had bought along with the receipt. This situation happened every time I went into this store, the one in the uniform, kept shouting, accusing me of stealing. On the last day, he followed me all over the shop, watching everything I was doing, then he shouted, in front of all the other shoppers, that I was stealing. This went on for over 10 weeks, by then I had had enough and was extremely intimidated by his behaviour. I phoned Customer Services to complain. And was given an email address in which I explained everything that had happened, a return email said there should not be anymore problems and you are not banned, but I stopped going there, then a week ago I started to go back but neither of these security guards were working there. Last Sunday, 26/10/2025, I went there and did not buy anything, because the item I wanted was not on sale, as I was leaving the large bearded security guard came to up me, trying to block my way out, before the security barrier and said, "You're banned from here" and again shouted i was stealing. I told him I had reported his previous behaviour and I was not banned, but he still tried to apprehend me, I got away from him telling him to leave me alone and went outside. Today I reported his behaviour. I'm now waiting for an email to sort this out, yet again. If this security guard treats elderly, disabled people like he has treated me, he should not be in this type of job. The ironic thing about this whole affair is, when I was younger, I was a store detective catching theives in a large department store. SMH !

ALWAYS no manned check-outs in operation first thing in the morning - customers with a trolley full of food should NOT have to request this service. It should occur as a matter of course. Trying to unload a full trolley on a minuscule packing area in self-scan is ridiculous - what with staff watching your every scan as though you’re some criminal - making you feel extremely uncomfortable for no reason at all. Staff are not helpful/proactive. Not a pleasant atmosphere to shop in to be frank. If my elderly parents were not keen on it, I definitely wouldn’t go there. Checking out is the worst aspect of shopping here. Oh, …50 EarlGrey teabags are exceptionally reasonable…one positive.

Very nice lidl. Lots of light. A bit smaller than the one just north of Figge’s marsh, but good selection. Good amount of parking in the back. I got some really nice salami here. I love the fresh orange juice!

Lidl just exclude cash here. Lidl business's decision not to accept cash is based on a discriminatory motive, such as a desire to exclude certain groups of people from accessing their goods or services. You don't see a problem yet? for example - they not want to serve customers who are low-income or homeless We know it from the past, know as for example "NINA" 1860's and other similar to exclude people. Of course those days, owners also didn't had issues with it Now what? No CASH !!! Safety reason? Or rather modern slavery system tracking all transactions Huge no, to this businesses model

Well maintained store clean and tidy. This is one of the large store's shelves well stocked up. Plenty of room to move around. Lots of parking

Quite a large store clean and tidy well stocked up, even on a Sunday afternoon. Great for shopping and other bits and bobs at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking you are allowed to park for 90 minutes; otherwise, you are likely to get a ticket in the post.
