I had an unacceptable experience at this Tesco Express. I went to collect a parcel, and the staff refused it, claiming there was a barcode error and that I had chosen the wrong location. This was completely untrue — I verified my order and it clearly showed this exact store on New Cavendish Street. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or offer any help, the staff were dismissive and made no effort to understand the situation. Their attitude was unprofessional and unhelpful, leaving me to sort out a problem that wasn’t my fault. It’s extremely disappointing to be treated this way by a major retailer. Tesco needs to retrain its staff on basic customer service and how to handle parcel issues properly. Customers deserve respect and assistance — not to be blamed for system errors.

Oh dear, what a shambles. popped in for dog food and of course left with loads more. When. I was first being served the not so lovely lady behind the counter could not have been less helpful. Sadly I didn’t get her name as her hair was covering her name tag but it began with a M. Sullen and not passing paid for items to the front, had to reach under the screen. So there’s that.I live round the corner, so when I got home I discovered that I’d been overcharged for 3 items, so I had the opportunity to return and correct this oversight, although it being a Tesco express I wonder how many people leave being over charged and do not have the ability to return. When I went to the counter I pointed out what had happened less that’s 20 minutes ago and the lovely lady refuted what had happened, saying that I didn’t know how to read the receipt, but I pointed out that the over charge is shown as a separate charge. Then after 5 minutes of discussion finally agreed that I had been overcharged but got the amount that I had been overcharged wrong. However no acknowledgement was made nor an apology for the waste of my time for her initial error of overcharging. Finally a second worker came in and they discussed what was happening, in a different language in front of me. I asked if they could speak English as I didn’t understand what was being said and it concerned me. The manager on duty finally came along and authorised the refund, which had been miscalculated on various occasion and even then I had to point out what the correct amount was. Not at any point did lady M apologise, her co workers did but just kept repeating “thank you mam” even after the manager on duty asked to apologise for the error. My understanding the general manger Rosie will be back on Monday and I will be getting in touch. I went to collect dog food and the Tesco representative escalated a situation into something it didn’t need to be. Terrible customer service and despite it being my local Tesco I won’t be returning.

Today a man was trying to steal and staff stopped him. The man went mad and started to attack the staff and isle by isle smashed the shop up. The customers including myself and young child was terrified as we were stuck in the store and was moving around the store to find safety. The staff were amazing! They done all they could to contain him and keep us safe and get us out safely ,even trying to calm my terrified child, even though they were still being attacked by this man. I can’t praise them enough for there actions today. Thank you all very much

They close the doors early (10:45), even though the store closes at 11. The tall Far Eastern guy always harasses customers, trying to force them out before 11. And so does the bald Indian looking guy. Just look at the complaints this store has, mostly about the same people for the same reasons, yet Tesco haven’t fixed the issue.

Had a terrible experience today at my local Tesco's for the second time, as the Eastern European lady manger seem to have some sort of problem and wouldn't scan my voucher, I really felt she was discriminating against me for whatever reason, I've been a customer of this specific Tesco's from the day it openednd! And also a local resident for more than 30 years, if Tesco is letting staff like this run its company into the ground they will be losing a lot of loyal customers. I did actually get to use the voucher at the self-service machine
