I havent been in here for a while and they've really upped their game. Their fresh pastries looked amazing. Plenty of price choice with their stock. The meat and veg all looked lovely and fresh
I didnt buy anything I thought I would try it to save some money but nothing looked appetising. So I left empty handed and shopped in sainsburys and waitrose. I know it costs more but at least I know everything is fresh and there chicken beef , lamb all looking good. I know I won't waste any of it.
Nice place and good prices but there is missing something on shelfs all the time.
Lidl’s prices are great, and most of their items are good quality, but I have noticed a bit of an issue with pests in the produce section of the store over the last few weeks. The discounted fruit and veg boxes they sell nearly always have fruit flies around them, and today I saw a worm/larvae on a head of broccoli, I nearly bought. Hopefully, this gets solved quickly as I would like to continue getting their affordable fruits and vegetable in the future.

Love this little store, especially the themed food weeks, Lidl have so much right including the app special offers and free doughnut on your birthday. Sometimes it's those small things that make that big difference especially on a tight budget. Variety is always greater and better quality than its major competitor and I find food a bit more interesting here.
Lidl provides good quality fruit at a very reasonable price. The cherries were around 50% of the cost at other supermarkets. We found some of the plums were damaged when we got home- it wasn't easily visible when we were in the shop. The self checkout works reasonably well but occasionally stops as an item does not match the weight range in the system.
What would we do without Lidl. Unfortunately there is not one in Bromley, however I travel 20 minutes on the bus to save loads of money. I do my entire weekly shopping for under £40 a month. Makes tesco and Sainsbury look way over priced for the same quality products. Dont bother going after noon though, as they seem to be cleaned out of stock in the morning, and then you are left to buy the scraps.
