A very knowledgeable gentleman at the store helped me choose a pair of trainers for my short jogs/long walks. I tried on several pairs, but I ended up buying the first pair he pulled down for me, so it seems he knows his stuff!
Run by an enthusiastic runner with great product and technical knowledge about the shoes and the equipment to make the correct support shoe recommendation. Easy parking outside the door.
Have bought 3 pairs of running shoes over the past few years, and found them to be perfect for what I need. I've always dealt with John, and find him to be a very knowledgeable gentleman, as well as someone who's very easy to talk to! All in all, a very good shop that I will be frequenting for as long as possible.
I travelled some distance hoping to get some new running shoes with specialist advice. I had my dog with me as was planning a walk on the moor. I asked at the door if it was ok to bring the dog into the store (on his lead, clean) and the answer was yes. However within 2 minutes a staff member accused my dog of attacking him. I thought he was joking. My dog has never shown aggression to anyone and absolutely did not attack him. The upshot was that I was told to tie the dog outside or leave. I said that I would get my dog to lie down beneath the bench (which he would as he is well trained) as I wasn’t prepared to leave him tied next to the main road and not visible from inside the store but the staff member became confrontational. I left and will take my money elsewhere. So incredibly rude. A wasted journey and lost business for Complete Runner. A totally bizarre experience.

Unfortunately I had a VERY disappointing experience. As a new runner, I really needed advice as I was getting blisters from a pair of shows I bought online so I went to get some proper advice. I was put on on a heat map and told my arches were fine but I must promote because I have blisters from my other shoes and they must also be too small. I didn't like the feel of a couple of shoes, so they pulled out a supportive ASICS GT trainer for me, that felt fine, and told me I needed to go up a size, from a 4 to a 5 (although nobody at any point felt how my foot was in the shoe). Long story, they are not only an OLD model that you can get for £45 online (I paid £105), they are wholly unsuitable. I have now had my gait analysed properly and I am a normal runner, I also checked the box and they gave me a size 5.5 which is too big, and the shoes are useless for me. I wanted to support local, but as a single mum who can not afford to just throw £100 away on a pair of shoes I am incredibly disappointed. Nice little shop for people who know what they want but would not recommend if you need advice and support making the right purchase - I feel like they just wanted a sale regardless of whether the shoes were right for me or not.
The shop has really helpful staff (very knowledgeable, and into running) and a great range of shoes! Picked up some extra bits and bobs (runnings socks and a shirt) and was amazed with the socks especially. Will be picking up my next pair of shoes from here, whenever that might be. Excellent service from very experienced and empathetic staff. Whilst there may be an online option that is a little cheaper, the value of the advice both for the shoes and for my sons running progression was worth many times any possible discount. There were social distancing measure in place , plus hand sanitiser and a screen where you pay. All in all and excellent experience.
Great little shop, wide selection of running gear including all types of shoes. Great customer service offering fantastic advice with no pressure to buy at all. Even let me run out the back to test my new sacauney trainers which are fantastic!
