   Went in to buy antihistamine and was asked numerous questions re symptoms etc, was told they would not give me antihistamine, they mentioned a steroid I could use but was subsequently told they wouldn't give me that either. Went to tesco totally different experience, so helpful and came away with antihistamine, I tried it and feel better already! Don't trust this peak pharmacy for their advice!

   I had ear wax removed by Jill and I cannot praise her highly enough. She listened patiently and sympathetically before the treatment and kept me informed during the procedure. It's wonderful that a member of the pharmacy team can provide such an important and essential service and do it so expertly The whole pharmacy team do a wonderful job and nothing is ever too much trouble for them

   I have been a customer of the Peak (Allendale Rd) pharmacy for about 4 years. In that time I have seen both very good service and poor service. My burning question is - Why does the pharmacy close for an hour at lunch time? Surly there should be a staggered lunch break. Most of the staff are friendly and professional, however, there are one or two who are a little surly and less helpful. The processes and procedures appear a little slow and cumbersome, not the most effective that I have seen. On Thursday this week there were 8 staff and still a queue of Customers waiting. I think the pharmacy could do with a little customer service training and process analysis. There is a lot of potential positives and it could be a very good pharmacy with just a few minor changes.

   Reception staff here are not pleasant. Dirty looks when asking for a prescription sent in over a week previously. No consideration for anyone, asks about private medication really loudly in front of others more or less shouting across the small reception area. Everything takes a really long time. Normally wouldn’t post a negative review but the reception staff really are miserable and just downright rude and really let the pharmacy down. A smile goes a long way.

   Once again they are missing an item and not for the first time or seventh. No notification before travelling and very unhelpful in fulfilling the prescription. I've never had a problem getting it from other local pharmacies. Think it's time for a change and travel a little farther to a different chemists

   A disorganised pharmacy. It takes 3-5 days to fulfil a prescription. They need a separate window for ready collections (they have a text service for this) to reduce the queue and waiting time for everyone.

   After changing doctors to the Wingerworth pratice it made sence to switch from Boots in town to Peak Pharmacy and what a difference. The service received from day one has always been very professional and polite and have found the staff so very understanding, willing to go beyond to help. Thank you and keep it up.

   I was informed that my rather important prescription was not available in any of the supply warehouses and I should speak to my Dr for an alternative. I have been waiting for 2 weeks for a Dr review so have been unable to get my prescription sooner that my Dr sent directly to the pharmacy. I asked if i would have been called by the pharmacy later to let me know about the requirement to speak to my Dr, the young lady said no, they wait for the patient to come in and collect their prescription. I said there was then every possibility I would not have my prescription in time... The answer i was given was the same. I spoke to HQ expressing my concerns but wasnt very hopeful. ***Today i have changed my rating. Having returned again and on being advised the replacement rx was not available, the Pharmacist was incredibly helpful and sorted the replacement with the Dr while i waited... I have done some research and realise my rx is in short supply... This must be very frustrating for medical professionals and for people like me, the diligence exercised to negotiate this is invaluable. Thank you. (Please change your online opening times that state you close 1pm to 2pm for lunch! I forget).
