Had an uncomfortable conversation with male Pharmacist today, 14/10/2025. Clearly doesn't care about my needs. Spoke to Manager who is also a Pharmacist. Really decent and kind lady. Been going to this pharmacy for years. Already moved to Boots. Sad really.
I've always found the staff helpful, friendly and efficient.
Very disappointed with the service at Peak Pharmacy Matlock. Came to collect two prescriptions for my 6-week-old baby – one for specialist formula and one for infant Gaviscon – both of which we’d been told were ready. On arrival, neither was available, and we were met with a staff member who showed no interest in helping, had an awful attitude, and gave no useful information whatsoever. We’ve been waiting over a week for the formula, which we’re now nearly out of, and despite our GP confirming the prescriptions had been sent and should be in, the pharmacy staff were completely dismissive and just told us, “there’s nothing we can do.” Absolutely no urgency or care shown, even when it concerns a newborn’s medical needs. No clear answers, no solution, and no basic customer service. Would not recommend based on this experience.
Recently they have been telling my husband and myself to come back at a specific time to pick up prescriptions and they are never ready. Always have to mess about and return another day. It’s getting ridiculous.
Similar experience as the previous review only once I was finally served was told that my medication was still not ready even though the prescription was ordered over a week ago. Obviously too many customers so will be switching to Superdrug.
Booked a flu vaccine, arrived on time told to wait after 15 minutes no one even bother to notice me again while they're all serving customers with prescriptions. I get that they're busy but what's the point of booking a time when they can't attend to you, people have other places to be! Had to leave, this place is a joke don't book your flu vaccine here.
Said they had given me 2 weeks worth of medication, but had only given me one. When I stressed this to them, they were very rude, and stuck to their 'word'. Am now in agonising pain - disgusting pharmacy!
I've been using this Pharmacy for years I have always found the staff very friendly day and knowledgeable they are always helpful and nice to all customers particularly when your running low on tablets and your scripts not come through from the Doctors please remember that since covid this pharmacy has become even busier than it was before and they provide a great service under the hardest of conditions they are only a middleman for your surgery which has been tied up with Covid 19 for a protracted time they are all doing well under difficult circumstances
Staff extremely rude. On many occasions! Have now moved my pharmacy, would never have thought I'd need to do that but they're intolerable. Would never recommend. They should be ashamed as to how horrible they are to other human beings.
Previously reviewed at 5* stars, no more im afraid. I've been using this pharmacy for many years from buying the basics (pain killers) and for my prescriptions when needed,but mainly every month for my pet care, since the take over they no longer provide this service ( big mistake sending ppl to use the internet) the previous staff were friendly, polite and helpful, the new intake seem morose unhepful and cant raise a smile between them. I wld rather shop local and keep our streets full of shops, but when service and products disappear the internet is but a click away..
