I want to warn everyone to take a second look before picking items from the reduced section at Tesco. Today, I found a pack of sweets there that had visible fungus growing inside. It’s easy to grab discounted items in a hurry, but not everything is safe just because it’s on sale. Always check the packaging and the product carefully to avoid buying something spoiled. Stay alert and keep yourself and your family safe.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Nav, the lovely lady who works at the self-service on weekends. She’s always so kind, friendly, and full of positive energy — she truly brightens everyone’s day! Nav has such a beautiful smile and a warm heart, and it’s always a pleasure seeing her. People like her make a real difference.

A One-Stop Shop for Everything You Need Tesco Beckton Extra is one of the largest and most convenient supermarkets in the Beckton area, and it's one of my personal favourites. Located in the Galleons Reach Retail Park, it's easy to access and has plenty of parking, which makes it an ideal spot for both quick trips and weekly shopping. What I love most about this Tesco is the incredible range of products available. The food selection is excellent, catering to a wide variety of cuisines and cultures. You’ll find everything from British staples to foods from Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and beyond. It’s truly a global supermarket, and I always discover something new when I browse the aisles. The store is spacious and well-organized, which makes shopping a pleasant experience even during busy hours. I also appreciate that it’s more than just a grocery store — there’s a large clothing section upstairs where you can shop for men's, women's, and children's clothing, shoes, and accessories under the F&F brand. It’s perfect if you need to grab a last-minute outfit or just want to browse casually. One of the highlights of Tesco Beckton Extra is the on-site café. It’s a lovely place to relax, whether you’re having breakfast before a shop or taking a break with lunch or coffee after. The food is reasonably priced, and it adds to the overall convenience of the shopping experience. There’s also a pharmacy section where you can get prescription medicines or pick up over-the-counter items. It's well-stocked and useful for quick health needs. I’ve found the service there to be professional and efficient. Another useful service is the Travel Money exchange counter. Whether you’re going abroad or need to exchange money for any reason, it’s great to have this facility within the store. It saves me the trouble of going elsewhere. The petrol filling station attached to the Tesco is a real plus. It’s handy to fill up while doing the shopping. However, one downside is the delay in getting the pump activated by the cashier — this has happened more than once and can be frustrating when you’re in a hurry. I hope they improve this process in the future. One area that really needs improvement is the self-service checkout section. While these machines are meant to save time, they often create more hassle than convenience. Frequently, they require staff intervention just to continue scanning items, which slows everything down. I find this very annoying, and in my honest opinion, they should either improve the system significantly or remove it altogether. It just doesn’t work smoothly. As for the staff, most are friendly and helpful. That said, like anywhere, you occasionally come across someone who might be having a tough day sometimes they forget to smile or greet customers. It's understandable, but still something I notice and hope Tesco can work on as part of customer service training. My final thoughts on Tesco Beckton Extra is a comprehensive and convenient place to shop, offering a wide selection of groceries, clothing, pharmacy services, travel money exchange, a café, and even a petrol station. Despite a few inconveniences, such as the slow pump activation and problematic self-checkouts, it remains my go-to store in the area. The convenience, product variety, and added services make it stand out among supermarkets in East London.

This Tesco is huge! It's all really well-organized, making it easy to find whatever you need. The store is clean and tidy, and they have everything from fresh food to household stuff. There's also a big parking lot, so you don't have to worry about finding a space.

Usually friendly helpful staff there.... If you can find one about! Usually fully stocked in most departments, may have bit of trouble getting some produce as reported on the News.

Avoid! I have never seen queues like it, at the weekend they go from the checkouts back to the middle of the store. They barely have any checkouts open and have removed some for trolley self serve. It gets worse every time I come. It is a Saturday and they only have 3 chekouts open! Awful customer service. See pic of awful queue!

Never again! I totally give up. Not even worth 1 star! Going to Sainsburys from now on. Frustrated, angry and lost regular customer. Absolutely awful place! Have tried to stay loyal, give the benefit of the doubt and continue shopping there post covid. However, constantly empty shelves, no staff and broken till belts. Ongoing….week after week….nothing improving or changing. Therefore, just no choice but to stop going there! Never again!!
