   Emerald Law Solicitors were chosen for us to do the conveyancing by the lender from a panel of their solicitors. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. We had the pleasure of Heather Boyd and Karine Goguen to do all the necessary paperwork. Both kept us up to date on a regular basis and when we needed to contact them, they were both lovely and friendly to talk to and answered our queries. And when the conveyancing was completing and finally completed it was great to get a phone call from both Heather and Karine to congratulate us on buying our house. Five Star review to a great company for conveyancing. We would have no hesitation in recommending Heather and Karine.

   Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing due to a consistent lack of communication and responsiveness throughout the process. At one stage, enquiries had been returned for almost three weeks and had not even been reviewed. It was only after a formal complaint was raised that these enquiries were suddenly acknowledged and dealt with. The whole process felt disorganised and reactive rather than proactive. We could have completed weeks earlier, but delays caused by poor communication and inaction slowed everything down unnecessarily. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this solicitor. Having since read other reviews, it appears we were not the only ones to experience this level of service.

   We used emerald law to purchase our first property. Julie and Bethany were always extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions and the completion date was met. Fees were also £400 cheaper than any of my local solicitors. Also, with the deposit money you can transfer £1.00 to make sure you've got the correct details before sending over the whole amount. Once they've confirmed receiving the £1.00 you can go ahead and transfer the rest. Thank you Julie and Bethany :)

   These solicitors are currently being used by the seller of a property we are purchasing and have been completely unresponsive to our solicitors requests. The information they should be supplying from the council has been found quicker by the lovely lady trying to sell the property but they have been completely unreliable in actively progressing the case. Enquires requested by our solicitor were raised in August and 3 months later emerald law still hadn’t requested the necessary information from the council. I would unfortunately recommend looking elsewhere for a solicitor if your purchase / property sale is time critical as the communication has been unsatisfactory from start to not-yet-finish.

   Authorised this firm to handle a compensation claim a couple of years ago. Signed all documents. Replied to emails then no contact back..assumed it was just going through as these things can take a while. Chased by email but no reply..contacted a few weeks ago chasing again..lady said would check file and get back to me within 24 hours..now nearly 3 weeks past so chased them again..found out that the 2 people dealing with my case have left company and my case has been closed..no explanation why only apparently I did not sign E documents which I did. Rude lady on phone saying why haven't I chased sooner and whilst trying to explain that I have and I have screen shots of emails she put phone down in a rude manner because she had no answers. Called back but she wouldn't pick up..
