It's a bit of a dump, honestly - shabby and set up in a really slapdash manner. In its current form, Aklu Plaza is made up of a collection of smaller businesses: a small supermarket that makes Lidl look like Harrods, a store selling cheap scarves and some jewellery, a tacky furniture seller, and a couple of other tiny businesses whose purpose is not particularly clear at first sight. A good 20% of the space is cordoned off and filled by what appears to be rubbish left behind by previous businesses. Like remnants of a more opulent past, there are still bits of Debenhams fittings here and there because the new tenants have never been bothered to remove them in nearly two years. I can't really understand why the landlord or the council are letting this happen. It reflects poorly on the whole of Romford. The quality of the shops was one of the reasons I moved to Romford a few years ago. I don't think I'd make the same decision today.

Itβs a huge supermarket, very specious with multiple floors. Especially for Bangladeshi people there are everything. Groceries fresh vegetables fresh fishes fresh meat chicken and frozen section for Bangladeshi fish. They recently added Bangladeshi traditional gift items which is top quality like Aarong. We found all staff are very helpful and polite. The overall price is reasonable compared to similar giants. They usually add some free gift and pay for parking at the checkout. Well only issue is parking. There are parking in front of the supermarket on weekdays only. Brewers car park is bit far although there is another car parking behind the Aklu Plaza which call Liberty car park is best for shopping here. Thanks

Shambolics, how? Obv these lot have not herd of thing called branding, makes me think some how they missed all the memoes from the early naughties about synergy, Everyone knows these maymols as maaas bazar but some how they keeping using whack names all over the place, like fair enough kacha bazar made sense but the rest lol even tho they use the same signing, font, theme ect, so why bother call it aklu plaza, seems like some one needs their ego stroked.... Who knows maybe it's for some one who's passed away, Continuing on with branding/theme, the actual grocery store is at best 1/4 to 1/3 of the ground floor, and it's really weirdly cordoned off, was they in too much go rush to get their shopffiters to use dry walls and makes some sensible sections... I've seen much smaller "plazas" organised better, also don't forget as they don't have access to upper floors the central escalotor leave the middle exposed and just adds to the tacky feel of the whole place This is like their 3/4th shop, easily worst one yet, Prices are same as other branches, Still giving 3/10 as its grocery supermarket that's useful to the community that live on the edge of civilisation, Oh rest of the stores some weird furniture slash clothing slash barbers... Should have taken more pics lol

Amazing place for shopping. Although only ground floor is ready. But still You'll manage to get everything you needed here. Customer service is awesome. Believe me I didnβt expected these good. Cheers to you people. And Parking. Yes, you need to buy the ticket. But they will refund it at till if your shopping is Β£50 or above. I believe which most of the Bangladeshi Family do. At last they gave me some free gift aa well.
