Wonderful wine shop - such a treat to stop off on my way back from work once a week. I love French Malbecs and I bought the most delicious bottle of Chateau Pineraie here. Friendly service - go if you’re nearby and like great wine!
Lovely find. Charming vibe, friendly service, excellent (honestly...really excellent and well chosen) selection. Am a fan of Loire reds, discovered a Chinon at a great price on their shelves and it is just delicious. Will be back!
What a lovely shop. Great selection of wines, natural and more conventional. But the best part is you can have a glass of amazing wine for £4-6. And they are super friendly. Yah!
What a gem of a shop! Visited for the first time today and was so impressed by the selection of wines and beers, and the ‘wine on tap’ option, whereby you bring your own bottle (or pick up a free empty bottle from the shop) and fill it with natural red or white wine. Such a lovely idea. We bought a beautiful bottle of rioja, and the chap who served us (he said he was the brother of the owner) was just so lovely. We don’t live within walking distance but we plan to make the trip back very soon - it’s truly an exceptional little place.
Excellent variety of wines. Have enjoyed the Portuguese, French and Italian wines and will be back for more.
Great selection of wines but terrible customer service. There is nothing worse than spending money supporting a small business that wont greet you when you walk into the room. The special thing about wine shops is the vibrant energy a shopkeeper brings. Not the case here during my experience. Won't support in the future.
We found the shop by chance and were pleasantly surprised. What a great shop! Welcoming and cosy, with an excellent selection of wine and beers at good prices, and very knowledgeable staff. You can have a glass of wine and some nibbles and listen to very good music as well. We wish it was our local shop, and I would recommended anytime.
We love Wild + Lees! We put off going here for a long time because we assumed it would be out of our budget. This was a mistake! They stock tons of bottles that cost the same as what you would pay at Sainsburys...but the difference in quality is night and day. Even the more expensive bottles are reasonably priced. Wild + Lees is now our exclusive source of wine, and I have never had a bad bottle (or even one that just 'wasn't for me'). I don't know that much about wine, but I usually ask for a recommendation. I have ended up trying lots of wine I never would have had otherwise, which has been a great experience. There is quite a lot of natural wine and even a surprising amount from the UK. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They also have a modest but good selection of craft beers and wine on tap. So happy that Wild + Lees is part of our community.
Fantastic bottle shop. Wines you won't find in the supermarket, craft beers from all over the place including local breweries, and a good selection of interesting spirits. The staff are all fantastic, knowledgeable and very friendly - they never make you feel anything less than valued. Add to this the fact that you can pop in for a reasonably priced, quiet glass of an evening and listen to a bit of jazz or occasionally some Joni Mitchell... It has become a firm favourite for a lot of locals.
