“Sacred has incredible gins, vermouths, and bottled cocktails which truly express the delicate nature their botanicals through the vacuum distillation process. My favorites are the Cardamom and Coriander Gins (and bottled Negroni!) though all of their products are fantastic. The delicate complexities of the gins make them not only work as stand-alone sippers, but also as ways to level-up cocktail recipes. The same can be said for the vermouths, which are quite unique. Additionally, the shop is a fun experience in and of itself, offering a curated set of sought-after whisk(e)ys, mezcals, wines, liqueurs, and other cocktail ingredients. Don’t miss this place!”
“A truly wonderful wine shop led by James and Will. Their knowledge and selection of wines is hard to beat. They are sound lads, with a passion for great wine that they share with their customers. Their recommendation of Puligny-Montrachet, Jacques Carillon 2020 hit the nail on the head when I was describing my love for Burgundy whites. A sumptuous wine that I am already dreaming of buying again!”
“Hidden gem in the neighbourhood. Tak the owner is a true wine lover, very knowledgable and friendly, didn't hard sell me the most $ ones but rather recommended some great wines from less known regions. Will def come back!”
“We had goose this year and were lucky to pick up a beautiful, great value nebbiolo recommended at this fantastic little shop. I'll be going back for another couple of bottles, really memorable wine which really added to our Christmas meal, thank you!”
“Trendy little bar and Wine Shop in Putney London. A real gem in Putney Upper Richmond Road beautifully done up. Dee the owner is right on trend with his latest addition to Putney’s gastro/bar scene. Super wines from Spain Portugal and other emerging regions. A delightful red from Bulgaria will warm you up nicely with their wholesome Charcuterie or Cheese board in London’s cold winter nights! There are other Whites and Rose from Spain and Portugal to liven up your Summer days! Dee is always there to share his passion for selection of wines and cheese and happily recommends them to customers. You can order wine by the glass from a selection of twelve different wines which change every week.A must visit in Putney.”
“Great selection, and love the concept of refillable wine bottles. Special thanks is due for Ms Laura Sisti, who kindly helped arranged a delivery of a refill wine bottle on a specific date. Excellent communication & service. Everything went smoothly and the recipient is delighted. Thank you!”
“Fantastic selection of beers, yes, but more importantly, this place is ran by two of the nicest people in the business, who genuinely care for all of their patrons. The atmosphere in here is second to none. If you're in Loughton, definitely try this place out!”
“Brilliant selection of wines and most importantly, great service. A treasure to Acton”
“Massively disappointed at the lack of art and craft supplies in this boutique. Had a great time drowning my sorrows in it's excellent selection of ales, beers, and porters however”
“Good atmosphere and friendly staff. If you are in Upper Street and you fancy a good drink, this is definitely the best place!!”
“Fantastic concept. Essentially an artisan off-licence which also operates as a bar. It’s stylish, friendly, spacious and stocked with a great range of homemade bottled cocktails and home brand gins in different sizes. We bought a small bottle of the grapefruit gin and he served it with some Mediterranean Fevertree Tonic, garnished with a grapefruit slice. He also sells some locally sourced antipasti options which looked fabulous.”
“We didn't have food. We went to the bar to order drinks so can't really comment on the service, but it is a lovely local bar. The eine us always delicious and it's not too noisy so you can have a conversation while having a drink”
“Extremely polite owner running the cash! Great for working as well. Reasonable prices for high quality foods. Had the sourdough kimchi salami cheese sandwich. Incredible!”
“Superb local craft beer micropub. Has a constantly changing mix of craft and keg beers ales and ciders.”
“Loved their machine roasted chicken and chicken shawarma. Will try their broast”
“Such a great evening at the wine, pizza and quiz night. The perfect balance of questions and delicious wine. Would definitely go again.”
“The GWS very much deserves to succeed! That rare thing; an independent. An international canvas of wines at all price points. A friendly and knowledgeable team runs the place. A glass (or two) or a bottle with family or besties. A great place and I love it.”
“Excellent wine tasting evening with Jack - super welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, no hard selling. Great range of wine and also lovely cheeses!”
“If you don’t know anything about alcohol and you want to know about different varieties Taste and history there is only one man on this earth and that is no other then Pete. Find Pete at all costs”
“There aren’t enough good things I can say about my experience here. It’s all my friends have been talking about. Not only was it the best whisk(e)y experience we’ve had. It was a highlight of our London trip, period. Sean S., our host, was awesome. Super knowledgeable and down to earth. It felt like sharing a dram with a friend. We had a blast and are recommending it to all of our friends and family. Whether you’re a whisk(e)y enthusiast, or a casual drinker who wants to learn more about it, you shouldn’t skip this experience. It’s a must!”
“The Whisky Exchange offers a fantastic selection of spirits, with a number available to taste, making it a great stop for enthusiasts and curious shoppers alike. The staff is generally knowledgeable and helpful, and the shop is well-organized by region and style. I'm giving four stars only because, on a few occasions, the guidance felt a bit generic—limited to pointing me toward familiar regions rather than offering more tailored recommendations. Still, it's a good stop for whisky lovers in London.”
“Amazing laid out store.. I came here mainly for their rum selection which is A-class featuring rums from the Caribbean, African (inc Mauritius), Europe (inc Madeira) and so much more! All spirits have their own section here and staff are always on hand to help and guide as needed. A must visit for any lover of spirits!”
“Great store, owner (I think it was owner) was very knowledgeable and offered to restock an item I needed. Recognised me when I came back the following week and reminded me that he had picked it up. 10/10”
“An amazing place to stop for pizza. The pizza was very good, but for a car enthusiast you’re not there for the pizza! It’s such a unique experience to be able to eat whilst surrounded by amazing classic cars that you can walk around whilst waiting for your food to arrive, which didn’t take long enough!”
“Went to visit in way to twickenham for the rugby. Such a great find! Really calm, clean, elegant wine shop. Andy looked after us very well and recommended a stunning SA wine that was fantastic. And it was on their wine by the glass offer so an easy choice. Will definitely go again!”
“Amazing service. Always smiling. Looks great after refurbishment. So much variety of food and household items!”
“My wife and I had a lovely experience as tourists at this place. We took a few photos and enjoyed the view and displays. The staff were the friendliest of all the whisky stores we visited during our weekend in London. The collection of Japanese whisky was the most exclusive of all the whisky stores we visited.”
“Fabulous. I really like the service, friendly staff.”
“Very friendly and considerate staff. Will go the extra mile if needed.”
