The place has a fantastic selection of wines - and the fact that I was recommended to visit here by another wine shop two miles down the road should speak volumes. The real star of the show, however, was James. Between serving a seemingly never-ending stream of sometimes-rowdy customers, and tidying up after not one, but two customer-induced spillages in the beer section (come on now, lads), James very kindly gave me his time and diligently helped me pick out two superb bottles of red and white that I am due to give as gifts tomorrow morning. I couldn’t be happier with the selection, which was the result of James spending time to understand precisely what the gifts needed to say in their individual ways.
