“Absolutely amazing shop. The selection is outstanding and very reasonable prices. Ian the owner is a top bloke too, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers he sells”
“Smallest bar in Newton but it has such a welcoming atmosphere, selling wine and beer from all over the world to drink in or take out. Prices are reasonable and only seats around 16 to 20 so cosy, but great place to meet new friends.”
“Great little shop. My wife goes here a lot for her groceries. The owners are very nice people and it's the kind of place where they're on first name terms with their regular customers. A good selection of Polish food and drinks and free parking round the back. They've bravely remained open during the lockdown so all credit to them for that as well.”
“Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Bought some great lagers which were exactly the taste type we wanted as recommended by the guy working there”
“Great choice of cigars and whiskys on offer from Roy and his team. Brilliant cigar lounge, friendly well informed service from the team. A very pleasurable afternoon, I can't wait to return.”
“We use Rose Farm every Saturday to get our meat for the week and it's really worth the half hr drive. The meat is all fresh and the staff very helpful.”
“Black Cat is hands down my favourite bar on Smithdown Road. It's got everything you could want from a local. Great and ever changing selection of ales, lagers and gins. Food available from Basha next door. Two excellent pub quizzes on a Wednesday & a Sunday (booking a table via their website is advised, it's very popular). Loads of seating areas, sport shown on multiple TVs and the bar staff are a delight. Can't recommend it highly enough.”
“We dipped into the Liverpool Arms whilst walking the Walls. We had a lovely warm welcome from the lady serving at the bar. Thank you.”
“Friendly staff. Access is brilliant for the disabled. Plenty of variety of foods available. If you spend over £25 in store then free delivery to your home is available. Outside there is a taxi rank if you do not have a car and the drivers are happy to help you load the bags. Some will even take your trolley back in for you.”
“good value pkenty of product handy for people in the City.”
“Helpful staff, open all hours, great place to pick my parcels up etc., in the shop they have most of everything. Love it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Off licence off choice..reasonable prices and chilled wine!”
“Easily the best craft beer spot in Warrington. The tap list is always rotating, so there’s something new to try every time you walk in, whether you’re after a hazy IPA, a crisp lager, or something a bit weird and wonderful. The fridge selection is next level too—properly cold-chained and packed with quality beers you won’t find in your average bar. The atmosphere is spot on—laid-back, no nonsense, and all about the beer. The staff actually know what they’re talking about, and you can tell they care about what they’re serving. No pretentious beer snobbery, just good pints and good chat.”
“Cosy little tap room/shop I popped into whilst staying at a local air bnb. A varied, interesting selection of drinks with some options on tap too. Modern and clean environment. Recommended.”
“Great wine to find in Eccleston, we called in and got a great box of 6 wines. We've had numerous boxes now, all great quality. Fantastic service.”
“Visited for first time yesterday. Very welcoming, very friendly and a great vibe. Amazing selection of drinks available on draft and also huge selection of not the norm drinks to take away. Can't wait to be back”
“So easy to order online, (we used uber eats) very fast delivery. The driver was SO polite, we also asked to be rung when outside, which the driver did. 110% will use again. Thank you”
“Our first time in Cafe Rosso, a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Traybakes amazing. First ever mocha and it was beautiful. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.”
“Nice local shop, it has literally everything you need and also a post office inside. The staff are super friendly and helpful.”
“I think I've done about half a dozen visits since the shop opened, which hopefully tells you something about the place! A cracking selection of beers on offer (with new stock coming in all the time, to keep things fresh) at great prices. If you know what you want, that's great - otherwise, John the proprietor really knows his beers and will happily guide you through nationalities, flavours, hop types etc. to get you what you're looking for. Highly recommended.”
“We just called in her on our way back to our AIRbnb. Just a great spot, service was great, advice was great and we walked away after have a lovely drink and Christmas day wine sorted”

“We just popped in for a late breakfast. My other half is not a cake or scone person and almost everywhere stops serving bacon or sausage butties at 12 o clock so we were delighted to find them available here. They were very tasty and the bread was delicious, the coffee was just as I like it mellow and not bitter. The building is bright and colourful with a lovely outdoor seating area and the service was efficient and cheerful. We will certainly be back.”
