“My local newsagent. Pretty much a standard newsagent really, good to have a source of milk so close by. Its a tiny shop but they do have the essentials, though not all the essentials. Say you one day fancy climbing a mountain, to try find a mountain goat, this is the wrong place to go. Perhaps an outdoor clothing specialist store would be more suited for you. I was tempted to give this newsagent 4 stars out of 5 as unfortunately, they do not stock coconuts. I feel every newsgent and supermarket by law should stock coconuts. Cracking open a coconut and drinking that coconut water is da bomb.”

EDIT: 2021/2022 - I think the shop got taken over or changed hands because its totally different now. Staff are lovely, loads of stuff in stock, cash machine works! Much much better”

“One of the best wine merchants in the country. The Chester branch is housed in an art deco former auction house. It doesn't have the character of the Shrewsbury head office cellar warehouse but is light and airy. There are other good independent wine merchants in Chester and Liverpool areas, and plenty of choice in supermarkets and stores, Tanners however is a treat to visit. Whether you buy a £10 bottle, a 15 or £16, or spend potentially vastly more you are almost guaranteed to get a good or very good bottle of wine. Regular prices start at about 9.50. I've rarely had an own label from this wine merchant that isn't good, & worth the price. Especially recommend their choice of French, Portuguese and some Spanish.”

The chefs use of traditional Indian recipes means you get the best flavour and best quality for a very reasonable price that you wont get from any other Indian takeaway in the area.
