We use Rose Farm every Saturday to get our meat for the week and it's really worth the half hr drive. The meat is all fresh and the staff very helpful.
We were staying in Peckforton castle so searched online for things to do in the nearby area and this came up. It is part of a small farm set near the grounds of a small shopping village (hope that describes it properly). There is the farm shop/butchers and ice cream kiosk, cafe, women’s clothing boutique, gym and you can visit the animals too, weather dependent. We got some delicious ice cream and had a wander round.
Spent a lovely afternoon here. Had a super lunch, provided by very efficient and friendly staff in the cafe. Spent time in the petting zoo where the farmer was happy to chat about the animals. The farm shop was nicely stocked. A bonus was it was free to park. A lovely interlude.
We went Pumpkin Picking today and what a fabulous outing. Lots of photo opps, BBQ, toasting marshmallows, ice cream and seeing the animals. The shop also had great selection of goodies. Definitely recommend for a halloween activity. We didnt go in the cafe as we had the BBQ in the barn but it looked lovely.
This is a great, traditional farm shop with a good range of local and brand-name products. It's a good village shop too, and prices are generally reasonable, unlike many "lifestyle" farm shops where prices are astronomical! There's also a small collection of farm animals to visit, which is a great addition. Staff are friendly and helpful too.

The cleanest large breakfast I've had - grease? Heck no! This is not a greasy-spoon, this is a place you can go for a clean breakfast, all ingredients cooked to perfection with proper meat! Also, the sandwiches? Packed with filling Would recommend completely Jaana is a Goddess!
Great local farm shop. Quality fresh meat and cheese, fruit and vegetables. They also stock a good selection of groceries. Rose farm kept our family supplied through both lockdowns. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
I really don’t know how we would have managed without Rose Farm during the past few difficult months. They delivered our groceries to our door at no extra charge when we were unable to visit the shop. When our situation improved we would give them a list and they very kindly shopped for us. Despite being rushed off their feet the staff we encountered were always good natured & polite. Their food is of the highest quality, lovely fresh fruit & vegetables , a very good deli counter and of course their excellent meat & poultry. Thank you to all at Rose Farm, we are so fortunate to have you and whatever the future holds you can rely on our continued support.
