   I'm a whisky enthusiast who enjoys both drinking and collecting, and I've visited whisky shops across London and Europe. The Whisky Exchange on Borough High Street is genuinely heaven for anyone serious about spirits. The presentation is breathtaking. The signature chandelier made from suspended whisky bottles immediately catches your eye, while floor-to-ceiling shelving showcases an incredible range from £30 everyday drams to rare Japanese single malts and limited edition releases priced in the thousands. The warm lighting and wood fixtures create an atmosphere that's sophisticated yet welcoming, making browsing genuinely enjoyable rather than overwhelming despite the massive selection. The staff are knowledgeable and approachable, happy to guide newcomers selecting their first quality bottle or help collectors track down specific rare releases. I try to make time to visit when I'm in the area, and their special tasting events are excellent opportunities to explore new expressions. Yes, I occasionally find slightly cheaper prices during online sales, but nothing matches their inventory depth and the experience of seeing everything in person. It's conveniently located near Borough Market with good transport links, though weekends can get busy. Perfect for serious collectors and curious beginners alike. If you appreciate quality whisky, this shop is an absolute must-visit.

   When their sign says "WE ARE WHISKEY".......they CERTAINLY ARE!!!! We just happened to go by this little storefront and since I had waited a number of times for my better half to shop...it was MY turn !!! Opening the door there was an EXPLOSION OF WHISKY BOTTLES from floor to ceiling and as far down the store as I could see !!!! I thought I had died and gone to WHISKEY HEAVEN!!! Every type and country possible (from my very limited knowledge) and prices of some of my favourites which were surprisingly a few dollars (quid) cheaper than my Canadian stores (even WITH the horrible CDN to GBP exchange). Sadly not enough room in my luggage for a couple of bottles of the 30 or 50 year old MACALLAN!!!!

   A huge selection of great liquors and the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. Our blending event was cancelled last minute so that’s the only reason they lose a star. We were disappointed about that but we left with some fabulous rums and whiskey so can’t complain there!

   Amazing laid out store.. I came here mainly for their rum selection which is A-class featuring rums from the Caribbean, African (inc Mauritius), Europe (inc Madeira) and so much more! All spirits have their own section here and staff are always on hand to help and guide as needed. A must visit for any lover of spirits!

   Genuinely the most disappointing experience I have ever had in a whisky shop. The short version is 7 seven staff members standing around, and not an ounce of enthusiasm or customer service from a single one of them. An impressive display of whisky, but that's where the impressiveness ends. Read below if you want the details. A group of friends clubbed together for a friend's birthday in Dubai. We went in to collect, an order worth over £900. There were 7 staff standing around doing nothing. Not one of the 7 even acknowledged us. We approached one and asked to collect the order. They brought out a bag, and we said that doesn't look like everything. They assured us it was. We couldn't check because it was all wrapped up for travel. We pushed and they went back to look, and sure enough, there was another bag. We then asked for an invoice for airport security. They couldn't print one apparently. They also couldn't be less interested in offering any other solutions. When I asked for a bit of customer service, they suggested emailing them the invoice from their system, so they could print it. It was a Thursday afternoon, and we'd just bought £900 worth of whisky. We fancied a bottle or two for ourselves. We asked a few questions, and again, it was as if we were interrupting their day by daring to be a customer. They were not interested in selling us anything or providing the slightest bit of customer service or enthusiasm. We left having not tasted or even sniffed a whisky, and not bought anything for ourselves.

   That shop was pure torture. They had just about every kind of spirits you could image. And a GREAT selection of whiskeys. While we were there they had an Australian Whiskey tasting, some were very nice. The shop is just down from the Borough Market Place, and close to The Shard. Just wish I could have taken some with me.
