    Unfortunately I agree with most of the negative reviews below. Most of the staff are very helpful but there seems to be a new member of staff (wasn't there a few years ago), oldish fella with a blotchy red face who is very obnoxious and quite full of himself. Prices are at times very good but if you see that particular member of staff, avoid at all costs.

    Today I met the rudest most ignorant staff I have ever encountered. I went with my son to buy some golf shoes and were happy to see the shop empty other than one customer being shown shoes by an assistant. Unfortunately, the assistant serving ignored us completely and just stood there in conversation with the other customer talking through his expertise on playing his golf course. We waited, and waited. We had a little practice putting just behind him, and waited. We went back to stand next to him with shoes in our hands by which time he was talking through what club to take on the 9th hole. I was speechless at his ignorance. So, I went to the guy who stands behind his little desk near the door if he was serving on shoes, he told me his colleague was. I told him his colleague wasn't serving, he was just having a conversation with a man who I guess must be his long lost brother that he hasn't seen for 50 years. This guy looked like I'd just dragged him screaming from his mother's breast. He rudely asked my son 'What do you want then? ". As he stood there arms folded watching my son try them on, I tried to make conversation and asked if they had anymore shoes like the ones I was holding with leather backs. He replied" you'll have to look" Helpful little bugger I thought. I explained that I needed these as mine wear out at the back. Then, my prayers were answered as he imparted his words of wisdom that will change my life, "that's what they call friction.. Do you have the right size" Aaarrgghhh!!!! If only I'd thought of that!!!! They didn't have my dons size and before my son had finished his sentence to say thank you, the wise one had turned his back and stropped off. The other guy who should have been serving was so chatting to his best buddy. Absolutely disgraceful. Clearly, they don't like customers but for some reason they think they are golf experts and are way more important than us ignorant punters. I will never go there again. It's no wonder the shop is usually empty, they are a disgrace.

    Absolute open mouth breathers on shift today, wandering around, trying their best not to engage with potential customers. I actually had to check to make sure they worked there (asked them), which left them visibly shaken. Guy 1 didn’t know where extra shoe stock might be kept, and guy two just wandered over to another wall of some drabs of stock. No other offers to help find something suitable in the size I needed. Do not waste your time in this store - it’s clearly unloved by whoever runs it, and it’s either making money as a loss/front, or purposefully being run into the ground. Shame.

    Colleague told me that I couldn't take clothes off the hanger and put them back on the hanger because 'they go a certain way' he practically snatched them from me. Very rude. Won't be going back.

    Been today to try some clubs out. Was told they don't use it anymore as the machine is broken and won't fix it. Eventually let me try some clubs without the screen. I am new to golf so I had chosen some forgiving clubs. He went on about how good he was and trying to hold the green with a 7 iron. All I want was some clubs to get started. Sou da like he not bothered about sales and more how good and long he been doing it.

    I went here for the first time today. Plenty of products, custom fit and putting area and friendly, helpful staff. Even though I wasn't buying anything the staff still spent time chatting with me and giving me advice.

    Been previously and it was very low on stock and slightly disappointing but went yesterday and didn’t have enough hands to get everything I wanted. Really good! Loads of different brands, loads of stock and even a simulator to practice with new clubs and to do lessons or gapping sessions etc. Couldn’t recommend enough to be fair
