   Not been for a long time after asking for a frame to be resprayed matt black only to get it back gloss black, cos apparently it looks better, but also he fitted his own decals that I hadn’t asked for because I had decals from the original maker to put on myself And I also gave him a Campagnolo Chorus heaset which he claimed wouldn’t fit so fitted another but then when I went to collect it he claimed that I had never left one to be fitted. Funny after calling me to tell me that it apparently wouldn’t fit. Although I found that odd at the time because it was a Campagnolo Record headset that was removed for respraying. Have never been back since and never will again

   Made the trip from Cambridge to Universal Cycle Centre yesterday to see Dave Marsh about a few frames he had for sale, I was torn between a fully refurbed Carlton and a Dawes but ended up choosing the Dawes, 531 frame and forks and Dave kindly fitted a headset whilst we wait and gave me some tips on how to route the cabling. What an amazing shop the UCC is, it’s like a time capsule of cycling history, loads of bikes and pictures on display all with its own story that Dave was more than happy to share with us. Every nook and cranny has something else interesting to look at. It really is worth the trip from wherever you are in the country or further afield if you need parts or frames for a build. I don’t think there is much Dave hasn’t got in that shop! Thanks again to Dave

   My brother has been bringing his bike here for many years he is always treated kindly as he has learning difficulties and has never been taken advantage off like some places i could mention. Its like an Aladdins cave inside would recommend and if they haven't got what you want they will order you it.

   Bought a bike here almost 30 years ago. A Pacific Super XT in pink. I was about 18. Was treated really decently. Good service, fair prices. I'm amazed the place is still here. To the guy complaining about the punctures - maybe it's the way you're riding. Or maybe you should stop complaining and learn to fix it yourself. They don't deserve a 1 star review for that.

   I’ve had 2 frames restored here - and they were spot on. I’ve also had frames repaired including a chain stay bridge re-braised, 2 steerer tubes replaced and several forks re-tracked. The work is always fairly priced, and There’s plenty of advice and help on offer!
