Lovely guys here, always look after me. I have a small business round the corner and I’m always dropping chairs and sofas in to be repaired and reupholstered. Extremely fair prices and alway do an immaculate job.
I am not sure if Neville still runs this store. I had a dreadful experience. The place looks like a complete dump. A health and safety nightmare just to walk through the store, stepping over pieces of furniture everywhere. It is untidy and unclean. The assistant barely spoke and barely spoke a word of English. I was having a small bedroom stool reupholstered. When I returned to collect it, I immediately noticed that the legs were chipped in two different places. It was perfect when I took it in. A guy arrived at the same time that I did. Apparently, he was running the store. He had a very intimidating presence. Told me I had caused the damage by not painting it properly! He told me to go home, bring the paint in and they would fix it. I didn't trust him TBH. So after a stand-off, he agreed to reduce it by £5.00. As soon as he got my cash, he disappeared down the street as fast as he had arrived. The entire experience was unnerving. I would not recommend this store to anyone. There is no customer service and they do not operate a professional service.
