Absolutely shocking college!! What more can I say! Stay well clear and always passing the buck onto someone else !!! Stay clear of get your career ruined!! Review from a parent!!
I am totally recommend this college to everyone. It is my first choice to come to this college since 2018 before I go on other course. I’m on disability and I got better experience there. The teachers helped me pass the course, got GCSE grades for maths and English. The LSPs there helped me very good. I would be failed if there be wasn’t from them helping me. I made friends there, and it is really good. Thank you, Selby College for everything you did.
Do not recommend this college which is sad to say it used to be amazing. Since joining forces with heart of Yorkshire it gone down hill major. My daughter attended and first week no tutors then once course was up and running they didn’t have all tutors needed for each module. 1 module they had to go offsite to complete and transport didn’t show up which the college didn’t seem bothered about. After finishing her first year thinking it was all completed and she passed with good grade turns out day after results are due be posted out that some modules have not been covered so they will address this in September but she wasn’t going back after getting an amazing apprenticeship so her year working so hard seems to be a waste of her time. I have a complaint in with them and nothing not even acknowledge it and this is 3 months ago. Now this with results you can’t get hold of anyone apart from admin which is joke you send email you expect a response for something so serious. Not a good college avoid at all cost
My son has finished an electrical engineering course in 2022 and still doesn’t know if he has passed!!? It’s been a year trying to call to get some answers but never get a call back. What a waste of a young persons 2 years this college has been. Particularly through covid and many cancelled lessons.he hasn’t really learned anything valuable. I will never recommend anyone this college. Avoid. April 2024; almost another year later and absolutely no communication from the college. No update, no certificate.
My grandson attended Selby College 2 years ago, what a shower, (Electrician Installation), his fist year he was continually sent home because of lack of lecturer's, despite this he passed 1st Year Exam. Despite this he continued onto a second year follow up course, this despite reassurances, started ok but attendances of a lecturer almost stopped.
Wallace Is a true goat, and he just loves Wensleydale in fact he converted me (a former lactose intolerant) into a cheese lover.. :))
Enjoyed my visit to have my nails done, lovely helpful staff and always putting safety first, distancing was practised from the get go, will definately go back
Food is nice and worth the money, staff are polite and the teaching is top standard as expected. Would recommend to a friend or two. Automatic doors are an issue particularly in The Allan Stewart Academy Building as well as the hand dryers in the same building otherwise facilities are high quality and well maintained

In Saturday 17th march 2018 (few days ago) Selby College is big college in Selby, staff is very polite to me, there are shop you can buy inside, the LRC (short for Learning Reasources Centre), big college feild and it has got fizzy drinks eg Pepsi max, Dr pepper, Fanta, normal Pepsi etc. It is make me happy. I did make some friends at college in taster day on Saturday 17th March 2018 (few days ago). I had an college interveiw and I did asked about lanyard. Thank you selby college
A great college with alot to offer. Very modern, has been upgrade loads and brings alot off students to the area helping the local businesses (and pubs lol) Also holds career days/ job fairs etc. Would recommend this college.
