I would not recommend here for piercings. Had my helix done and 5 days later my ear is puffy, red, absolutely throbbing. Luckily I work on a centre where there is a claires as trafford isn't my local so they took it out foe me to find it wasnt pierced properly and the back was in too tight so i got a refund. They almost pierced my sisters wrong too. Stay clear.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Claire’s Trafford Centre (Manchester) I had a very upsetting experience at this store while getting my 6-month-old daughter’s ears pierced. The piercing on her left ear was clearly off-centre, and even the piercer admitted that it wasn’t done correctly. When I asked to speak with the manager, I expected understanding and a solution — but instead, I was met with rudeness and complete denial. The manager insisted the piercing “looked fine” when it obviously wasn’t, and then told her employee to “keep quiet” and not agree with me. She even pulled the piercer aside and told her not to say anything further. This behaviour was totally unprofessional and unacceptable — especially when dealing with babies. I trusted Claire’s with my daughter’s first piercing, and that trust was completely broken. There was no accountability, no apology, and no respect for the customer. I would strongly advise other parents to think twice before using this store for piercings. This experience has left me extremely disappointed, and I will never return. If you zoom in the picture below it clearly shows that piercing was done above the mark .

Absolutely Atrocious!! Claires seriously needs to reconsider their members of staff. I had been waiting in the queue (there were no signs to say where the queue should line up) and a lady had pushed in. I had made a comment to my family amongst ourselves that i was next but oh well. The employee then responded back even though it was none of her business in a very rude manner, raising her voice and screaming at me infront of my two kids and after i had walked off she then started to shout at my younger sister. I do not understand why the employee had to get involved, dont think its included in her job description. She then proceeded to shout across the shop swearing so the whole of the shop could hear. She was a blonde haired caucasian woman with glasses and as someone who works in retail and customer service all i can say is that she is an absolute embarrassment with a foul mouth!!!

Usual selection of hair and beauty gifts, perfect for pre teens.

This fashion accessory shop is located inside the Trafford Centre in Greater Manchester. It is clean and tidy but unfortunately it is extremely wheelchair user unfriendly. There are display stands either side of the till area which prevent access to the back half of the shop. The staff made no attempt to help - they appeared to be fairly disinterested teenagers - but I expect they’re not paid enough to care whether they sell anything or not.

Had my daughter ears pieced here on 3 occasions - would recommend. The staff are nice and friendly, but could be a bit more bubbly when talking to children.

Went on Saturday, for my Daughter’s Birthday, as she wanted to get her ears pierced. The lady was very bolshy and rude, and her customer service was awful. My Daughter was already nervous and her attitude was making her worse, so I asked if she could have both ears pierced at the same time. This is a service I have used before at alternate stores, with my other children. The woman point blank refused and said they stopped doing that for children over five and that it wasn’t in line with their policy. I’m not quite sure what hardship it would have caused her to have just done this, as there were two piercers on at the time!? In the meantime another staff member was also rude, whilst my Daughter was looking at other items instore. She was bent down looking at accessories and this girl was like “Scuze me!”- and gave us a dirty look for being in her way and then rolled her eyes at us when we moved for her! Shocking! Thankfully we decided not to bother, and I’m so glad we did. Saved ourselves £39 and probably a whole host of issues, if the other reviews are anything to go by. We ended up going to Lovita, across the mall, where the staff were super helpful, cost half the price, and where they had no issues piercing both ears at the same time. Claire’s HR sort your staff out, Claire’s Trafford Centre, get your act together or get work in an area you actually like. Your customer service is appalling!

GO TO A PROFESSIONAL! Awful experience, rude staff, used a gun on my 6 year olds ears and asked another staff member to come over to hold her which terrified her. Really rude staff when I questioned the hygiene and surprise, surprise we have a 6 year old in pain with an infection in BOTH ears and are having to get antibiotics - we're a couple of months past the piercing!! They've never fully healed, and are now infected as per the story in the metro about this retailer. Why I didn't read reviews I'll never know. Feeling pretty dumb going. The back studs were clamped on our daughters ears so HARD we had to undo them which was incredibly painful for her. This shop is a disgrace and we'll never set foot in it again. GO TO A PROFESSIONAL! These rude and frankly untrained staff should just be selling accessories in the store and not doing something so serious.

Absolutely awful experience. Had my ears pierced 4 days ago and had nothing but terrible pain since. They put one stud in higher than the other so they were uneven and the studs are that small length wise, that my piercings became embedded deep in my ear and I’ve had to prise them out with tweezers. £40 down the drain for piercings that I had for 3 days. Will never go there again
